Rutgers 2016 Design Intensive - Civic Square Building
Rutgers 2016 Design Intensive Website: This program seeks to develop the graphic design skills of motivated high school artists. Created and supervised by Mason Gross faculty, the curriculum focuses on core principles of design while introducing relevant software. Participants will become familiar with Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign while exploring visual problems and producing work suitable for a college admissions portfolio. The Design Intensive includes studio work, technical demonstrations, group critiques, and a field trip to New York City to visit working design studios. Primary emphasis is placed on building visual awareness, and on making software serve the designers vision. Social Justice Super Heroes (A.M.) with Erin Lea-Dougherty - Westerly Creek Elementary (Art Room)

They will use a variety of materials to create costumes, tools, sidekicks, comic strips, and more that address social injustices.
