Galaxy Robotics Summer Camp - Piedmont High School
Galaxy Robotics is offering a standard class for elementary and middle school students. Over the course of the week, students will design and build their own drivable robot. On the last day of class, a small, friendly competition will be held for students to experience a real tournament environment. The class features the VEX robotics design system, a system that allows for any style of robot to be built. Students will be placed on robot-building teams consisting of 3 to 4 students each, teaching not only technology but also teamwork. Campers are welcome to enroll individually or with friends. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Camp is designed for participants entering 3rd through 8th grade. Campers should bring lunch, drinks and two snacks (due to allergies, please make sure all food is peanut free) PFACs camps are led by one teaching artist per 12-15 students with assistance from Camp Counselors. Sit, stay and come are just a few of the basic commands you will teach shelter dogs during this training camp. Learn basic and advanced obedience training while teaching shelter dogs basic cues. Trainers will practice positive reinforcement training and special skills.
