Over the course of 4 days, the PreK-Grade students will learn essential swimming skills through fun and games. Combining a games-led approach with excellence in coaching and instruction, each student will learn the core aquatic skills needed to be a competent swimmer. In addition to working on the four competitive strokes, swimmers will learn numerous other skills, which will give them the ability to participate in a range of aquatic sports including synchronized swimming and water polo. Swimmers will also practice water rescue drills and discuss water safety. Requirements: Must be in the PreK – Grade group. Swimmers will be grouped by age and ability. Camp Cordovas Sports Adventure -Session 8 - Lincoln Village Community Park
Camp Cordovas Sports Adventure. Camp Cordova is hosting a specialty day camp at Lincoln Village Park. This day camp is perfect for the extremely active child ages 8-11. Enjoy weekly themes and field trips, along with a variety of camp-style sports games & adventure activities with an emphasis on fun, learning, and participation. Campers will also explore a variety of aquatic games and daily swimming at the Lincoln Village pool. Camp hours are 8am-4pm with extended hours available from 4pm-6pm. Theme: Flags and Tags Field Trip: Folsom Aquatic Center Enjoy playing tag? What about a game with flags? Oh the things that live under rocks! If you only knew what cool creatures are under there, youd never snorkel in more than a foot of water again! Well spend a week turning over rocks to see what teeny-tiny creatures we can find living in the ocean. Marine worms, tiny crabs, tiny crustaceans and nudibranchs and all kinds of algae. Well bring some rocks to our tanks to watch more closely. Well leave no rock unturned. And since were talking about the highly prized wave zone (in wavier places), well crash around in our own splash zone and compete for space to imagine where a limpet or barnacle is supposed to go when all the rocks are full. Camp Mark Seven offers many development and leadership activities for the deaf youth and children programs.
