DC Reads Kids On Campus Day - Washington, DC
It's that time of year again...Kids on Campus Day 2016 is coming to AU on April 22nd! This is a celebration of the DC Reads community and the hard work of students and tutors for the 2015-2016 school year! Students from DC Reads schools will be welcomed to AU for a day filled with fun activities "around the world" and will end with a book fair and dinner in TDR! Kid's Yoga Summer Camp: Week 2 - Indianapolis, IN
More than ever before, kids face an abundance of pressures and stress. Mindfulness practices, such as yoga, meditation and breathwork, can give children the tools they need to navigate their life in a way that is true and authentic to them. During this special week of yoga camp, we will explore the many gifts that yoga has to give. Children will participate in activities that empower and center them, foster a strong sense of self, and connect them to the greater community. These ativities include, but are not limited to: Poses to empower, strengthen and bring balance Meditations and breathing practices to calm the body, mind and spirit Principles to guide healthy interactions w/ themselves and the world around them All exploration will take place in a playful, safe environment where each child can find their unique voice. Students will create a Yoga Journal throughout the week to serve as a memento from their week as well as a reference for home practice. Class size is limited to allow for best engagement of the day’s activities. A light, healthy snack (fruits & veggies) will be provided mid-morning. Kids Holiday Yoga Camp - Jackson, NJ
The holidays are such wonderful times to spend with the family. But sometimes, you need some extra time to clean or relax away from it all. Honor Yoga Jackson is happy to invite you to our first Kids Yoga camp! Running for three days, December 28, 29, and 30, the classes are two hours each. Deanna--who also teaches kindergaten--will be teaching the kids yoga through music, games, partner yoga and silly props! Parents are welcome to drop off their kids or stay for the fun! *We encourage a parent to stay with kids who are 5 and under, or with anyone who needs extra attention. Join in the fun of everything that has to do with horses: build your own miniature stable, sculpt a horse to run through the corral, paint a horse on canvas, and fill in your own book with beautiful pictures of horses.
