Make NO bones about it; this camp is for the aspiring "Young Physician". If your child enjoys checking out the cool gadgets and models in the Pediatricians office, sign them up! Campers learn that their bodies are miles of blood vessels, hundreds of muscles, many thousands of hairs, a furnace, a filter, AND a fancy computer! They perform hands-on experiments as they learn about brains, taste buds, blood, muscles and bones, check heart rates and listen to their lungs with their very own stethoscope. Campers will extract DNA and learn about genetics, test for germs, build spinal column, ear drum and lung models. Held in Ashland, Nebraska at Carol Joy Holling Camp and Retreat Center, this event will gather youth from across the ELCA for intentional leadership development and faith formation. Our guests include Presiding Bishop Eaton, Kevin Strickland, Assistant to the Presiding Bishop/Executive for Worship, Stephen Bouman, Executive Director for Congregational and Synodical Missions of the ELCA, and several other wonderful speakers and teachers. Our featured presenter is Lyle Griner who will be coaching us on Peer Ministry. Each synod will select two youth to participate and send one adult to accompany them on the journey. Registration will be covered by a special grant. Your only responsibilities will be travel and being open to what God has in store for you through this event. Registration closes on October 1, 2015.

Battle Camp Youth - Takedown Gym
Takedown Gyms Battle Camp Core is designed to teach young wrestlers the needed skills, technique and positioning in order to build a solid wrestling foundation. Like all Battle Camps, students will be taught to apply what we are teaching in order execute properly in live situations. Wrestlers will come away from this camp with the understanding of what it takes to train, perform and win. This is a 2 day camp with 1 overnight so bring 2-4 complete sets of workout clothes. 218-454-1770
Mandarin - Little Dragons (Level 1) - Germantown Friends School
The objective of this club is to initiate what we hope will be a lifelong interest in a culture that is becoming an increasingly important player on the world stage. The program follows the My First Chinese Words curriculum, which offers an introduction to such key vocabulary as numbers, colors, body parts and animal names. Students will read supplementary Chinese storybooks, watch DVDs about Martial Arts and create arts and crafts related to Chinese holidays and traditions. Our bilingual, bicultural instructor, Wei Chen, is deeply committed to teaching Mandarin to children and to igniting their curiosity about foreign cultures. The Princeton University Middle School Girls Ice Hockey Camp is designed for players (entering grades 6-8) whose aspiration is to get better by working on team and individual skills. This camp is both challenging and fun. Ice sessions will focus on the fundamentals of skill development and power-skating. Players will learn proper body position, edge control, and how to lengthen their stride. Puck protection, passing and scoring will be skills taught. In addition, players will learn all aspects of team play. Games will be played at night. In addition, players will workout with the Princeton University Strength and Conditioning Coach. This camp will combine drama, with the music and dance styles of Michael Jackson! We will be acting out an original interpretation of this classic Norwegian Folktale with a BIG twist! In this tale, we learn that Father Troll is only trying to feed his family, and that he is not so back after all. We will be exploring the MJ/Jackson 5 hits; Blame it on the Boogie, Leave Me Alone, Wanna Be Starting Something, Bad, Beat It, and Man in the Mirror. 206-473-9580
