Get on your broomsticks for the most magical sport in the world — Kidditch, or Quidditch for kids! Quidditch is like playing ultimate Frisbee, tag and basketball all at once. In addition to practicing good sportsmanship, safety and teamwork, players will learn the basic rules of quidditch as they try each of the four positions: chaser, beater, keeper and seeker. Wagner College - Wagner College
Please join us for the Wagner College Mens Lacrosse January Prospect Clinic! The clinic is a great opportunity for prospective student-athletes to improve as players and to learn what its like to be a college athlete. Youll also get the chance to meet head coach Matt Poskay, his assistants, and the Seahawk Lacrosse players who will also be working with you during the event. During the morning session, participants will work closely with Wagner coaches and players in order to further develop skills that will help them with both their high school and club lacrosse programs. During lunch, there will be an information session where participants will learn what its like to balance academics and athletics at the Division I level. Finally, during the afternoon field session, participants will have the opportunity to play and compete against other future college lacrosse players. Participants must bring all necessary equipment, including a mouth guard. Please bring a bag lunch as well. Water will be provided. 5 Day Intro to programming camp. (Girls and Boys ages 8 to 12) Has your child mastered the remote control, tablet and smartphone? They play games, watch movies and DVR their favorite TV shows. Your little genius may have even remembered your App Store password. But, have you ever wondered how to get them interested in learning more about the technology behind all their favorite devices? The URPLE camp was designed to address that specific challenge in a fun, engaging and entertaining way. In this camp, your child will learn the basics principles of computing. In our hands on workshop they will build and customize their very own Raspberry Pi computers. While a lot of fun, this learning toy is a full-blown Linux based computer that your child will learn the fundamentals of programming on. Using graphical programming languages, theyll use code to customize their own Minecraft Worlds and use Scratch to create their own games, animations and stories. Along the way, students will express their creativity through technology, learn valuable problem solving skills and have fun in a collaborative environment.
