Chewbacchus Kids: Winter Parade Camp - New Orleans, LA
Join the Krewe of Chewbacchus this December break for Winter Parade Camp! Our winter campers learn about the history of Mardi Gras traditions in New Orleans and around the world. They create costumes and throws, and build their own shoebox float. At the end of the week, we throw an awesome parade and party with our Chewbacchus kids and families. Camp is held at Castillo Blanco Art Studios, 4321 St. Claude Ave, New Orleans, LA. Join us for some fun activities right in your downtown area! Yummy Cakes and More, I am an Artist, and Pink Pig Pottery studio have teamed together to make an art camp that the kids will never forget! We will be learning some awesome painting techniques, baking projects (YUMMY!), and much more! We hope you can join in on the art extravaganza! We’re debuting 5 mini-camp sessions designed specifically for the “older kiddos!” These camps focus on fun and skill building over 3 consecutive afternoons of concentrated creation – allowing time for larger projects and deeper investigation of themes hand picked from customer recommendations! These camps run from 1-4 in the afternoon and are designed for students in 5th grade and up. Early bird registration rates are $75 for 1 mini camp, $100 after May 15. June 21-23: RAD ROOMS – you’re the designer! create one of a kind painted and stitched projects to be sure your bedroom style is on point!

Mark your calendars for October 3-5 and make plans to gather with pastors from throughout North Carolina at Joshua Free Will Baptist Youth Camp in Albemarle, NC for the annual North Carolina Association of Free Will Baptists Ministers' Retreat. Set aside the demands of ministry and enjoy the relaxing atmosphere of Camp Joshua. You'll find rest and renewal with pastors, preachers, and ministry leaders who have come from the coast to the mountains gather together for mutual support and encouragement. For those sports-minded men, golf outings will be arranged for both Monday and Tuesday. Bring your clubs! 23. Short Hikes in the Greater New Haven Area - TBA
Hikes of about 2 to 3 miles over varying terrain. Participants should be in good physical shape and wear study footgear with non-slip soles (no sandals or flip flops). Specific directions will be sent to those who register. Four Sessions: April 7, 14, 21, 28 203-214-3425
Farm Fun - Farm Store
Farm Fun camp is a unique opportunity for campers to work with the livestock, gardens, and natural areas at Greenacres while exploring the science happening on the farm. The camp will also include plenty of games, exploration, and farm fresh treats. Past camp activities have included assisting with weighing cattle, testing soil, planting cover crops, making pickles, spending time with the sheep, and Brix testing vegetables. This camp is best suited to campers with an interest in exploring the science behind farming and gardening, who get excited about real farm work! Please wear sturdy close-toed shoes or boots. Recommended: long pants, water bottle, hat. 513-891-4227

Farm to Table campers will work in teams throughout the week to create a variety of dishes. Their focus will be on delicious and healthy snacks, meals, and treats that highlight the produce grown at Greenacres. Campers will learn about new ingredients and review techniques relevant to the recipes they make each day, but will also have plenty of opportunities to express their creativity and customize their creations. Outside the kitchen, they will harvest some of their ingredients, explore the gardens and fields, and interact with the producers. Campers will take home an apron as well as a binder of recipes and information at the end of the week. Please note any dietary restrictions when registering. Campers should wear close toed and long hair should be pulled back. 513-891-4227
Continuing Teens at the Pottery Wheel (46216A) - Cary Academy
Ready for a new challenge? Advance your throwing skills and create bigger and better pots on the pottery wheel. Learn in a small group environment where you will receive individual instructor attention and have access to your own pottery wheel throughout the week. Improve on the details of handles, feet, rims and design elements and explore different ways to glaze your pots before they are fired in the kiln. Campers will take home finished work at the end of the week. Prior knowledge of the basics of centering, pulling up, and forming pots on the wheel is required. 919-677-7839

Reading Rockets is a program designed to be an early intervention for students going into first, second, or third grades. The goal of this program is to provide additional support for students who could benefit from reinforcement in reading skills over the summer. Reading Rockets will help minimize the regression in skills that sometimes occurs over summer vacation. Through this program, students will experience a rich variety of materials that will provide strong links to students reading curriculum. Need-based scholarships may be available. 6106276136.0
