Easter Break Camp for Preschoolers - St. Charles School
NOTE: This is for Catholic School Easter Week Only. For Public School Spring Break Camp go to our Falls Church Spring Break Camp listed on the website ETC Beginnings camp offers an enriching theatre experience for your preschooler to learn basic acting skills, as well as how to use their bodies, voices and imaginations to create exciting characters. The day is filled with circle time, improv games, arts and crafts, outdoor time and rehearsal for our big show at the end of the week! Note: Preschoolers must be potty trained. 703-271-0222
Mt. Hood Session 6 - Mazama Lodge
At Keelys Ski Camp many of the all female coaching staff are recently retired from the U. S. Ski Team or are still racing at the highest levels (Olympic, World Cup, Noram, NCAA and FIS). Each day on the hill the coaches offer world-class visuals by training with and coaching the girls. Each session at Keelys Ski Camp is seven days, three days on snow, one day off and then 3 days on. Summer is an opportune time to develop and improve technique, for this reason we emphasize drills each day of skiing. The first day focuses on free skiing and drills. Day 2 & 3 are more drills and gate training. Day 4 is OFF and we offer fun activities either in Hood River, rafting the Deschutes River, or a trip to Portland. Each student will be given a Writers Notebook. This is a safe place for students to keep ideas and thoughts like real authors do. We will explore different genres and mentor text. The students will explore ideas, develop volume, revise, edit and publish final pieces of their writing. This will be accomplished through a Writers Workshop format. This camp is for the younger LEGO fan that is just getting into LEGO. JRS will learn basic building techniques, play building oriented games, and create from their own imagination. Projects like building racecars, animals, mosaics are few of the things the children will work on. Action LEGOs puts fun in motion as students learn how to use gears, motors, potential energy and balance to create numerous contraptions. Through the excitement of building, our summer camp students understand how gears translate motion and how different types of energy can propel vehicles and machines. After each building project, summer camp kids customize, share, and enjoy playing with their creations. Kids have many opportunities free building, playing Lego games creating their own amazing projects. We are focused on active learning because the development of the brain is so important in the early years and research proves that children learn by doing. We have a unique ability to excite and motivate kids to grasp programming and engineering concepts, yet we also place equal emphasis on celebrating STEM education and creativity.
