July 25 - August 5th AND August 8th - 19th The National Comedy Theatre is now registering for our annual Summer Improv Comedy Camp where we give our students the opportunity to explore the worlds of improv and sketch writing! Much like NCT’s professional team, our group of students will quickly form an ensemble of performers, working together to develop their skills and, ultimately, build a quality performance that friends and family will be invited to attend at our theatre in San Diego. For actors with experience on set and on stage, to work through scripted work with Vic Browder. Actors learn to apply exercise based work to scenes and monologues to create authentic, exciting characters and relationships that bring the story off the page and into life. 505-881-0975
Middlesex Youth Camp - Middlesex Youth Camp
Middlesex Camp is divided into a Senior Camp and Junior / Pee-wee Camp. Each group has its own tent on the field which serves as a home base during the day. The camp features recreational activities including arts and crafts, science and nature, sports and other organized games, weekly theme-related activities, and special events. Pee-Wee campers will have swim lessons. Junior campers will have swim and tennis lessons. Senior Campers will have tennis lessons twice a week and free swim daily. On rainy days, camp is held in the clubhouse and also under an awning over a paddle court. The philosophy of the camp remains low key summer fun, giving the children a taste of the many different activities the club has to offer, but also a time to simply play and build friendships. Adventurers are assigned to a small group of 10 to 16 campers and spend the week with counselors known for boundless energy and creative imaginations. Over the course of the week Adventurers can expect to canoe, swim, take a hayride, explore nature, make table top pottery, make nature crafts, hike to the fire tower, play games and have an all-round good time.
