Marlena Vendemia - Bio Marlena Vendemia worked in the corporate fitness setting before earning her M.S. in Exercise Physiology from The Pennsylvania State University. She currently holds a position as a Penn State fitness instructor working with pregnant women as part of the Healthy Moms Research Study. Most recently, Marlena earned her 200-hour registered yoga teacher certification. She found her yoga practice as a stay at home mother to her two small children. Marlena was drawn to pursue this certification due to the benefits she found through her own yoga practice. Her yoga practice has allowed her to find space, connection and possibility through the physical experience, things she hopes to help other students find as well. Her goal is to bring classes filled with truth, authenticity, love and fun to the State College community. In addition to teaching yoga at The PYP Studio, State College, Marlena also serves on the school board for Our Lady of Victory Preschool and on the advisory board for Kappa Kappa Gamma Sorority, University Park Campus. Our workouts are never boring, always changing and challenging and most of all fun. This full-body, full range of motion training is perfect for teens who want to get fit. It is also for teen athletes who want to up their game in their favorite sport. Our workouts will create a balanced all over strength and functional fitness. Great for both boys and girls. OTL Script[ed] a six-week screenwriting workshop where youll get an introduction to the fundamental concepts of screenwriting: reading and analyzing professional screenplays; reading, analyzing, and critiquing your classmates work; and, most importantly, writing an original screenplay. You will outline, write, and revise a short script (6-12 pages) with the goal to be screen ready! Youll be writing and reading on your own outside of the weekly sessions, bringing your observations, ideas, and new work with you to the group. This class begins with essential lessons for to empower new knitters. Lessons will include choosing supplies, reading instructions, casting on, knit stitch, purl stitch, and binding off. Using these basic techniques, participants will learn how to create different knitting patterns using the knit and purl techniques, including seed stitch, ribbing, stockinette, and garter.
