BHT Camp 2016 - First Informational Meeting - Powell, OH
Hi Everyone! It's almost 2016, which means it's finally time to start preparations for this summer's camp! The first informational meeting will be on Saturday, January 9th. There will be a total of two informational meetings (the second on January 31st). If you are applying to be a full time counselor for the first time, you are required to attend at least one of the meetings. Also, keep an eye out on your emails for the counselor application that will be released soon. Can't wait to see all of you on January 9th! Spy Training Camp - Middle School
Learn about forensics. They will spend of week being spies and Crime Scene investigators. Through various tools they will be able to break numerous cases that will be presented throughout the week. They will analyze trace evidence left at the crime scenes in camp. The crimes will include numerous mysterious disappearances. They will spend a week utilizing the science of forensics, chromatography, chemistry, DNA, profiling and fingerprint analysis to unravel these mysteries. They will investigate the crime scene by analyzing trace evidence with a microscope, cast footprint impressions, photograph the crime scenes and design various spy tools to be able to help in the investigation. They will make a periscope, and various forensic Tools that they will use in training to be the very best spy. Rhythm & Rhyme - The Miami Valley School
We will be playing games and instruments in this melodic camp. Using patterned text from childrens songs and poems, we will actively "do music" while gaining stronger literacy skills. You will experience many literacy components such as syllabication, phonics, and rhyming. We will use pictures and context clues to decode new vocabulary. "Meet Spot" Week 6 - Animal Training Adventure Center
This session is for young campers age 7 who love puppies and dogs, or young campers who need to overcome a fear of dogs. Campers will be introduced to basic responsibilities of pet ownership and the needs of a canine companion by working with rescue puppies and dogs. Campers will engage in play and structured games involving puppies and dogs that teach dog handling skills, dog safety, and promote having fun with a dog. This session will also include animal-themed family movies, animal-themed arts and craft projects, and homemade dog treats prepared by campers. Disney Theater Camp (2nd session) - Winnetka Community House
