Doulos Youth Winter Camp - Denton, TX
Keep it real this winter by joining Doulos Youth (7th-12th grade) for Crossroads' second annual Winter Camp! It’ll be a weekend packed FULL of awesome worship, life-changing messages, group games, and time to just hang out with your friends. There is a non-refundable deposit of $75 due at registration. Regular registration is $125 by October 31. If your student attends 80 percent of their connect group, they will be able to attend camp for only $100! All sign-ups are online. MS Winter Camp - Walla Walla, WA
Get ready for Trinity Youth's 18th annual Middle School Winter Camp! This weekend will be filled with good food, great friends, and whole lot of fun. Our goals for this camp are: 1. To build strong student-leader relationships 2.To build strong peer relationships 3.To meet students right where they are—helping them take that next step in knowing Jesus better. Oh, and there is also possibility of having a lot of fun, too! Students and leaders will be leaving from Trinity at 6:00 p.m. on Friday, February 12th (dinner not provided). From the church, we will drive 45 minutes south to Meadowood Springs. Everyone will be staying the next two nights at the retreat center there. We will be back at Trinity by 12:00 p.m. on Sunday the 14th. The cost of camp is $105. This cost covers travel, lodging, food and fun. To secure your free Winter Camp 2016 t-shirt, get your registration and $25 non-refundable deposit by Sunday, January 17th! After this date, all registrations will be charged an additional $15 late fee. All registrations and full payments are due by Sunday, February 7th. Being Jewish on Campus - West Hartford, CT
Being Jewish on campus can be confusing. Many colleges offer a range of ways to enhance your Jewish experience - but college can also challenge some deeply held beliefs, especially with regard to Israel and international politics. This program brings 11th and 12th graders and their parents together with the experts in the field for a deeper conversation about what it means to be Jewish on campus. Summer Clay Camp: Full Day (Week 3) - El Marino Park
Join us for clay and art camp at El Marino Park and enjoy an exciting and creative experience. We will learn how clay is made and used in many cultures around the world and explore working with clay using a variety of techniques and equipment like the slab roller and pottery wheel in addition to the clay work, camp will include special art projects such as mixed media sculpture drawing acrylic painting water color and fiber art. Judo Fun Camp - Tilden Middle School
This program, coached by a French Judo instructor. Judo is a martial art from Japan. Coach Frederic has been teaching Judo to students around the world for over 25 years. While teaching disciplines such as politeness, respect, self control and concentration students will also learn the complex forms of the martial art known as Judo. This martial arts program will teach and train students on the proper technique, muscular development, calisthenics, stretching, joint rotation, exercises, endurance training, sparring and sparring related drills. Everyday, you will improve your balance and have fun with many activities about judo like crafts, drawing, writing. Japanese and learn few words in French. Fun games, fun activities and contests, lets move your body and your creativity skills. Description: Ladybugs, butterflies, and dragonflies are just some of the amazing insects that live all around us. How are they alike? How are they different? Come explore Blue Jay Point habitats as we seek them out. Listen to creepy-crawly stories; make some critter crafts; and enjoy yummy buggy snacks. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Eco-Kids is a three-day mini-camp at Blue Jay Point County Park for children ages 4-5 years old ready for independent learning. Take art to a new level! Whether you are an accomplished young artist or someone who thinks they cant do any art, we promise you are in for a hands-on 3 dimensional fun experience with wood burning, tie-dyeing with Indigo, printmaking, weaving and felting and that is truly EXTREME! We will teach you to use a special pyrography (wood burning) tool and to draw designs, patterns and texture into wood, leather and dried gourds. The ancient Greeks called it writing with fire. After the design is burned in, shading and coloring can be added. You will discover the art of printmaking, how to use a printing press, carve linoleum blocks into stamps, and create a masterpiece using natural items and a collagraph abstract print. Go back in time as you dye fibers using natural indigo and tie-die your camp t-shirt to the EXTREME! Create Native American inspired medicine pouches through a felting process and weave your own tapestry using card or hand looms from simple to complex.
