CAMP COLLEY OVERNIGHT YOUTH CAMPS Overnight Youth Camps are designed to teach riding skills, horse care, and outdoor recreational skills. Life skills such as responsibility, empathy, and communication are emphasized in each activity. Campers ride a minimum of two hours per day in a series of riding lessons, games, and trail rides. Camp Colley partners with Hunkapi Horse Programs to provide overnight camps. This unique partnership will give campers additional opportunities at camp including, but not limited to, hiking, nature education, mountain biking, archery, and arts and crafts. Campers depart from the Kiwanis Ramada near the Splash Pad at Fountain Park at 8:30 AM on Monday and return at 4:00 PM on Wed. Camp Activities Include: Daily teambuilding and self -development exercises Field trips to the local fire tower, swimming, hiking, arts and crafts and much more! Spring Break Techsplosion Camp MINECRAFT CHALLENGE - Dairy Knoll
Techsplosion is a hands-on STEM enrichment program in the San Francisco Bay Area. Since 2010, our passionate instructors have served over 1,500 students at over 50 bay area locations. We balance computer time with fun outdoor activities and themed games. Our Minecraft and Video Game Design camps are the most computer intensive but in all full-day programs we schedule approximately 2 hours of outdoor time per day. In addition to that, we have many non-computer activities, particularly in the camps for younger age groups like Junior Minecrafters and Minecraft Challenge. We want to inspire your kids to lead balanced and passionate lives, not turn them into potatoes. Singing for Musical Theatre – Ensemble Performance - The Little Theatre of Alexandria
No class on Feb. 14. This course is designed for singers at any level (grades 2nd - 9th). Students will learn the basics of vocal technique for proper singing, including voice placement and production, breathing, and phrasing. Students will receive guidance in finding their voice type and category. They will also work on presenting songs – learning how to make a song come alive by not just singing it, but interpreting and performing it. This semesters in-class concentration will be on musical theatre chorus/ensemble numbers. Students will work on singing together, and will be taught not just melodies, but also how to sing harmonies and various vocal parts. (An ability to sing harmonies and to sing with others is an essential part of musical theatre performance.) Some of the songs will also include basic movement/staging, and the music and movement that is learned will be presented/ performed in a musical revue format. Students will perform on the LTA stage in the Spring Showcase on April 1st and 2nd!
