Once Upon a Time July 11-15 - Summit School
"Once Upon A Time..." A camp to promote literacy and encourage imagination Rising 1 and 2 July 11-15 Kim Fansler In this camp reading, phonics, vocabulary, comprehension, writing, art, cooking and drama will all be taught using various versions of classic fairy tales. We will give the children the opportunity to build the houses the three little pigs built. They will make the gingerbread houses that Hansel and Gretel found in the woods. They will plant the magic beans that Jack used to grow the magical beanstalk. They will dress up as characters and act out favorite scenes. They will get to paint and decorate enchanted castles. Tennis - Boys (6th-8th) - St. Agnes Academy-St. Dominic School
Tennis is open to SDS grades 6th - 8th. PRIOR PLAYING EXPERIENCE IS REQUIRED. Registration Deadline - Jan. 23, 2016. A late fee ($20.00) will be assessed for registrations processed after the deadline. Uniform top/jersey will be provided by the school, but players will be required to purchase skirt/short for match play. Color/style information will be provided by coach. PLEASE NOTE: If registration numbers exceed roster maximum (8), players will be selected based on a challenge/tryout system. Registration fee will be refunded if necessary. SoccerTots Camp is a child development program that uses a variety of fun games to engage kids in physical activity. The camp is professionally designed to develop motor skills, promote physical fitness, and create self-confidence. We stress a non-competitive environment and promotes fun above all else. KIDS LOVE IT! No need to bring a soccer ball-all equipment will be provided. Join anytime during the week (fee will be pro-rated). Sibling discount available: Register two or more siblings for SoccerTots camp and receive a $5 discount off the registration fee for the second and each subsequent child. Sports Camp week 4- Soccer - Orchard Park Recreation
During the first hour of soccer camp, children will focus on the basic skills of soccer such as dribbling, passing, shooting and goal tending , as well as agility and foot-eye coordination. Goal tending will only be taught to those children who volunteer for this position. During the second hour, children will be able to eat a healthy snack and then participate in a series of cooperative games that will enhance their capabilities of being a good teammate and showing good sportsmanship. The third hour of soccer camp will be spent discussing the various rules of soccer such as hand ball, pushing and tripping, and playing modified games of soccer. As the skills of each child advance over the course of the week, the third hour will consist of more realistic game-like situations. Equipment will be provided. New T his Year! Friday Field Tri ps!
