Siena College Dance Camp provides a fun and exciting way to learn the fundamentals of dance. The camp is designed to teach a variety of different dance styles including hip hop, jazz, ballet, latin dance, breakdancing, modern, and tap. Campers can come with NO dance experience and learn a great deal or they can come with a lot of experience and be challenged while expanding their skill set. Campers will learn skills in dance workshops and dance choreography to showcase in an end of camp recital The camp staff is selected from area dance studio owners and creative directors along with current and former Siena Dance Team members that are eager to share their knowledge with the campers. This camp is for boys and girls ages 6-17, the cost is $320 per camper. A 15% discount is available to groups of eight (8) or more campers that must be done online with a group discount code. No additions will be allowed after the initial submission of a group. A 10% sibling discount is also available. ***The Generation S Club membership promotion MAY NOT be combined with the group discount.*** Online registration will end ONE WEEK before the start of camp.... Drama Advanced-Prepared to be challenged by the likes of Shakespeare, Mamet and other influential playwrights in our Advanced Drama Class. This class will delve into the techniques used by famous teachers such as Stanislavsky, Chekov and Boal, to truly hone their skills in bringing characters to life on the stage. Please contact Jay Goodlett to confirm that you have the required training to participate. Step into the role of a lifetime and learn the secrets of the Dramatic Arts! Using traditional and modern acting techniques, we will explore the dynamics of drama through the use of scene work. Your teaching artist will assign scenes from both contemporary and classical theatrical plays/musicals as you learn to expand your talents through the help of others. This 4-day week will include two days of moderate hiking, followed by a more leisurely day outside, and will culminate in an early start to accomplish our most rigorous hike of the week on Friday. Anyone who identifies as a girl may join us for this relaxing and invigorating week of hiking. Come spend Seattles first week of summer hiking some of the best trails and mountains within an hour of the city. Students must wear shoes appropriate for hiking and bring a lunch and a full water bottle as well as a swim suit each day. Optional, but students may also bring a journal and camera. 206-957-1533
