My 10 year old daughter loves participating in Girl Scouts. When she asked about going to this camp I got her signed up right away. She had fun meeting other campers and she came back home with a vision of who she wants to be in her future. Come join Camp Agape for our 3rd annual Memorial Run 5k and 1 Mile Kids Walk! The largest team created will win a Team Trophy! This is a celebration of the DC Reads community and the hard work of students and tutors for the 2015-2016 school year! Students from DC Reads schools will be welcomed to AU for a day filled with fun activities "around the world" and will end with a book fair and dinner in TDR! 2nd Annual Youth Campout - Middle Fork Wildlife Mgmt Area
Bring your kids, grandchildren, nieces, nephews. WFBCHU 2nd annual youth camp. Friday, September 18: Check in 5 pm. Ride at 6 pm. Hobo dinner assembly upon return from ride. Leave No Trace demonstration during dinner. Guitar music and sing along. Hobo dinners and smores provided by Chapter. Saturday, September 19: Creakfast cooked and provided by Chapter. Service project if applicable. AM ride. Lunch on your own. 2 pm Ponies on Parade. Decorate your horse with animal friendly paint, glitter, ribbons, feathers, etc. We will lead decorated ponies through campground. PM ride if desired. First aid demo. Dinner hot dogs, chips, pork n beans provided by Chapter. Scavenger hunt 7 pm. Campfire smores and music. Sunday, September 20: Breakfast provided by Chapter. Ride. Good byes. We are still looking for some interested teens for the TCTA Theatre Arts Program! ages 12-18 It's free, there are 2 sessions at 2 different locations June 13-July 8 @ Hancock Recreation Center July 11- Aug. 5 @ Doris Miller Auditorium Monday - Friday 1-5PM Write, direct, perform and tour to other camps a contemporary performance piece that will include written word, dance, puppetry, etc. The Artists we have hired for the camp have an extensive performance and technical background. You will be taking tours of local theatre spaces and seeing performances around town. This is truly a unique experience if you have an interest in the theatre arts and performance art. This camp is designed for those who are ready to advance their learning and exploration of the natural world. Connolly Ranch Stewards will get a behind-the-scenes perspective of Connolly Ranch and its natural history. Participants will have the opportunity to work on conservation projects, build natural shelters, learn advanced farm chores, explore rarely used areas, hike in the hills and delve into techniques, tactics and concepts that this older group is ready to explore. But its not all work! Our naturalists and teachers will guide these budding environmentalists in games and exercises that offer lots of fun while imparting important lessons about protecting open spaces and wild places. This camp will culminate with a campout on Thursday night including night hike, star gazing and storytelling by the fire. 707-224-1894

The WCU Field Hockey Elite Level & GK Specialty Camp offers a unique op-portunity for the serious field hockey athlete. The camp has been designed to challenge athletes in settings different from the traditional camp situations. The camps will offer tactics and techniques in goal scoring, defensive strategy, and goal-keeping technique. Each evening will conclude under the lights with game play. These offerings will appeal to the serious field hockey athlete! EQUIPMENT Each camper should bring a stick, shinguards, sneakers or turf shoes, mouthguard, sunscreen, and a container of water (no glass). Goal-keepers must bring their own equipment. WCU and its camp staff are not re-sponsible for lost or missing items. All personal equip-ment should be marked with the campers name. 610-436-3555

During this camp week, we will have daily practice in following a process which should result in several creative writings projects. Each of the students writing projects will be evaluated. A big part of a successful creative writing class is being able to both give and receive constructive criticism; therefore, participation will be encouraged. Phyllis Monroe is a lover of anything related to language arts: words, phrases, clauses, paragraphs, essays, and formal research. Having taught all age groups- elementary, middle, and high school- she knowa that each grade/student will have different writing abilities; however, all age groups should follow basic guidelines for good writing. Creative writing can be the most enjoyable genre because the focus is less on the mechanics of capitalization and punctuation and more on choosing interesting and unique word choices which represent individual writing styles. 9194244028.0
