Junior tennis training is personalized and professional and on location at one of the most gorgeous college campuses in the country. We can help all levels achieve their goals! From rigorous training for USTA tournament and high school players to a fun learning environment for beginners. Beautiful outdoor and indoor tennis facilities, plus a chance to learn about and play other racquet sports like ping pong, badminton, and squash and swim in the pool at the end of each day. For resident campers, we have a list of fun activities at night including movie nights, Dave and Busters, and World Team Tennis. The campers will reside at a beautiful Victorian style dorm on Swarthmores campus. Adult Tennis Weekends are fun and high energy with lots of tennis and new tips to take home with you. HELP A KID GO TO CAMP KESEM - Davis, CA
I cannot believe that I am a part of such an amazing organization that does so much good for kids struggling through so much adversity. Being in an organization like Camp Kesem has opened my eyes to how generous and kind people can be. Camp Kesem is an organization run by students who spend a ton of time all year fundraising money to allow children whose parents have or had cancer go to a fun, stress-free summer camp. Although this is my first year as a part of this wonderful organization, I already feel so strongly connected to all the counselors and want to do as much as I can to allow these kids to go to camp. Hearing all of these stories about how the kids tell such heart-warming stories, I feel like I would learn more from them than they would from me. It gets me even more excited to learn about all the various events we get to set up and how much fun everyone has every year that they go. Theme 3: Energy and Sustainability [Urban Infrastructure] - Wow Science - Voorhees
In this theme, campers will explore how people use and work with energy as they develop and apply concepts of energy sources, energy receivers, energy transfer, energy chains, and energy storage. Specifically, we will conduct projects and experiments under the following topics: sun angle versus heating effect, how we measure energy, a Rube Goldberg energy chain, hydropower, an electric circuit, storing energy up a hill, energy trapped in the earth, model waterwheel, embodied energy, lowering environmental impact, and the greenhouse effect. Under the topic of sustainability, campers will examine the importance of the environmental sustainability of systems and activities related to urban infrastructure. Specifically, they will explore the following topics this summer: planning a sustainable community, solar water heater, solar lamp, evaluating runoff in their neighborhood, local natural hazards, model a biogas collector, build a composting system, and conduct a sustainability audit. Of course topics and associated activities will vary based on camp cohort – junior, main, or teen camp. Golf: Junior Half Day Summer Camp 7/11 - Offsite Location
Junior Half Day Golf Camp will teach the fundamentals of golf, the full swing, chipping, putting, rules and etiquette in a fun and creative learning environment. All golf lessons are held at Camarillo Springs Golf Course, located at 791 Camarillo Springs Road. If needed, golf clubs and balls can be provided to those who do not have their own. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Bring your receipt to the first class and arrive 5-10 minutes early. See instructor and sign waiver form at first class. If your class if outdoors, please dress for warm/cool weather and bring a water bottle. Class Refunds - If withdrawal/transfer from a program/class is made 5 business days prior to the start of a class there will be a full refund less a $10 administrative fee. If withdrawal is made less than 5 business days before the first day of the program, there will be no refund issued. Registrants failing to be present for the program will forfeit all fees paid.
