Camp fee is ONLY $35 Trust me, these aren't "just old folks", we have a blast and do almost all the same activities the youth campers do! New for 2016 we have added a day trip to Millstone Creek Orchards in Ramseur, Thursday October 6th. Bus fair is sponsored by the Bessemer City Chapter 1286, and tickets are covered in your registration fee. Don’t forget to bring YOUR secret award winning dessert for our Home Cookin’ Cook Off. The winner will receive a prize from WoodmenLife. Bring your silent auction items, as we will be holding a benefit for the camp. Also we will participate in another food drive for our National Community Focus, FIGHT HUNGER! Items will be donated to a local shelter. Art for Home Schooled Students - Location: Center for The Creative Arts
New students welcomed! Art classes for home-school students continues with instruction intended to guide new art students while challenging returning students to build on their skills. Students will split the time between explorations in Realistic Drawing and Painting and 3/D Art and Pottery. The group will be divided by age dependent on the number of students. An Art Show of pottery and drawings and paintings for family and friends will follow the last class on Friday. Materials: Provided 302 239-2434 x120
Paint-Tastic (JK-K) - Mulberry School
In this camp our JK/Kindergarteners will explore all things paint. Mixing in a little bit of science (how paint is made), a bunch of exploration, and a lot of creativity, well have a paint filled week with all things arts and crafts. Well spend some time having fun with color combinations, find out what the color wheel is, utilize all kinds of tools for cool paint techniques, and learn how we can mix our own colors to create unique paint colors for our works of art! In true Mulberry tradition, well draw inspiration from all around our beautiful campus, so expect your child to spend plenty of time outdoors as well as inside. Bring in work youve completed for help ‘polishing it, bring in current projects that you have questions on, or bring in the work you need to do. Features concentrated instruction for the athlete (grade 6-12) who wishes to focus on a designed poition (setter, outside hitter, middle blocker, or libero/defensive specialist). Campers will spend the majority of their time drilling on those skills unique to their chosen position.
