World Cafe Cooking Spanish PK-5 (Friday) - Janney Elementary School
World Café is a great opportunity for our language students to increase their exposure to their target language in a fun Friday afternoon session. Children who arent studying languages at Janney but have some knowl- edge of Spanish, French, or Chinese are also welcome to participate. This session will emphasize cooking. The lessons have been chosen to make language learning fun. Our language teachers will be running the classes. This is a great way to wind down the week and practice language skills! 202-724-8950

Instructor: David Mihan. Students will engage in the theatrical process of one of William Shakespeares famous plays. Well compare fresh and saltwater habitats through hands-on experiences like sampling for water-dwelling animals and performing simple water tests. Field trips will take us to see where our water comes from, how water is treated after we use it, and on a visit to the Chesapeake Bay. Well also spend time boating and fishing as we learn all about water, the plants and animals that live there, and how to better care for our watershed.
