LATEST CAMPS NEWS: Kidz Love Soccer - All Day Camp - Sport Complex - Cubberley (SCC)
Kidz Love Soccer All Day Camp Spend a week enjoying the worlds most popular sport in a fun, recreational environment. Learn and practice soccer skills including: dribbling, passing, receiving, shooting and defense. Everyone is a winner as the weeks fun culminates in an age-appropriate World Cup tournament. All-day campers will stay for lunch and more fun in the afternoon. After lunch they will enjoy more soccer, soccer movies, and tabletop soccer games. Each day will reinforce the skills we learned by ending the day with a full soccer match. All campers will receive a soccer ball and jersey. All-day campers should bring a full water bottle (1.5 liter minimum), a healthy snack and a bag lunch. ALL PARTICIPANTS MUST WEAR SHIN GUARDS. SOCCER SHOES AND SUNSCREEN ARE RECOMMENDED. St. Louis Youth Camp's Trivia Night - St. Louis, Missouri, MO
CLICK THE FOLLOWING LINK FOR REGISTRATION: https://campweloki.wildapricot.org/event-2109063 St. Louis Youth Camp’s presents our 7th annual trivia night! 100% of money raised benefits girls ages 8 – 18 to attend Camp Weloki. The event will be held at Mercy Hospital Conference Center on New Ballas Road. Doors open at 6:00pm, and trivia begins promptly at 7:00pm. Prizes will be awarded to the winning table. There will also be raffles, games and attendance prizes! Cost is $200 for an 8-person table or $25 per person ($30 per person at the door). Beer, soda and water are provided and we encourage you to bring your own food and beverages as well. Fly Fishing - The Evergreen School
Fly fishing is a sport that teaches patience, improves motor skills, and fosters an appreciation for nature. No one can walk away from losing a five minute battle with a stubborn trout without a deep respect for the fish! Students will learn the basics of fly fishing – setting up their rod and reel, knot typing, basic overhead casting, selecting the right fly, etc. Discussion will also include the history of fly fishing, how its different from other kinds of fishing, and entomology. Beginning Fishing Camp - Black Hill Visitor Center
Enjoy a week of fishing fun and adventure while learning how, when, and where to catch freshwater fish. Well fish Little Seneca Lake first to get some experience, and then travel to waters outside of the park for new challenges. Park naturalists will provide expert, hands-on instruction on balanced tackle, live bait, artificial lure selection, knots, casting, and the latest fishing techniques. Well send out an itinerary and equipment list prior to camp. The camp fee includes all bait and a well-equipped tackle pack with a variety of lures and hooks perfect for the beginning angler. Become a coastal crusader as you explore the coastline by kayaking, boogie boarding, stand-up paddle boarding, and identifying snorkel spots through local chart navigation readings. Analyze coastline changes, sift through ways to prevent beach erosion, and discover coastal ecosystems. Take the first exciting step in learning to surf by practicing your stance, balance, paddle technique, duck dives, and get a taste of riding waves.
