Musical Stars on Stage - Location: Center for The Creative Arts
Do you like to sing and dance? Have a fun filled week singing , dancing, and acting from a Broadway show and then performing a Broadway musical production at the end of the week. Think Annie, Mary Poppins, Willie Wonka, Beauty & the Beast, Peter Pan, and more. Students will learn to play tennis using small rackets, foam tennis balls and low nets. They will learn forehand, backhand, volley and serve and will have fun playing tennis. Incoming 5th and 6th graders will learn the basic usage and safety of HAND TOOLS including a coping saw, file, sanding block, and cordless drill. Some small machines may be used such as the scroll saw, spindle sander, Dremel engraver, and drill press. All activities will be demonstrated and supervised by Mr. Caris, the current Woodworking teacher at NBJH. Students will choose a project from a beginner list.
