Team Prep USA will host their 9th annual Rocky Mountain Cross Country Camp in Crested Butte/Gunnison, Colorado. Camp will be held at the Western State College in Gunnison Colorado, home of the Division II perennial powerhouse Mountaineers distance programs and just 30 minutes south of Team Prep USAs headquarters and training center. Attendees of camp will have the opportunity to train at elevations ranging from 7,700 ft. to 10,500 ft. of the Colorado Rocky Elk Mountain Range. The Gunnison Valley of Colorado has become a Mecca, according to Nike for athletes of all kinds to train. It's hard to believe Winter Break for our children is just a couple of weeks away. Artlore Studio will be offering a Kid's Art Camp the Week of December 26th thru December 30th. There will be a morning session from 9am-noon & an afternoon session from 1pm-4pm. We will work on Painting, Drawing, Collage, Fabric Art, Mosaic, Mixed Medium & more, while learning about different artists & different cultures,in a Fun & creative environment. We will participate in a close reading of James Joyces novel, A Portrait of the Artist as a Young Man. Our discussions will explore the style, structure and significances of Joyces watershed novel and consider its function as a prologue to Ulysses and very tentatively, Finnegans Wake. Campers will get to experience our new overnight site at Reading on Ranches Camp! Ultimate Survival Camp will spend the week learning advanced survival skills such as building your own survival site, foraging and cooking food, and many other pointers to master outdoor survival. Join us Saturday March 19th, from 12:00 - 2:00 pm at Smythe Park for some egg-celant fun! Only $5 per child to register. All registrations include jump castles, photo booth, face painting, craft station, Easter games, cookie decorating and a dozen candy filled eggs per child! (The Daniel Island POA will be providing all eggs for the hunt). Wristbands will be given out at check in on Saturday, March 19th from 10:45 am - 11:45 am only. Hunt starts at 12:00 pm sharp! Be sure to bring your own baskets to join the fun. (NO baskets will be provided). You must pre-register online by Thursday, March 17th to be guaranteed participation.
