The Theme this year is: LIFE IS MESSY! Registration for this COST FREE week of teen camp begins at 4:30 on Tuesday, July 5th. Activities for Middle School could include (but is not limited to) Boogie Bowling (with strobe lights), laser tag, basketball, carpet ball, ping pong, volleyball, bike riding (Middle School week, helmet required), waterpark, putt putting, water slide, water balloons, swimming, paddle boat riding, playing on playground equipment, softball, hiking, sharing bathroom & shower facilities with other campers, sleeping on floors in rooms at the Church building, worship and recreation,and traveling to activities. Join Smart with Art as we discover sea-life creatures and explore the ocean with clay! We will create a bookend influenced by Edward Hoppers art, including a relief lighthouse design. We will work with glass pieces and clay, as we create a slab box based on Hokusais The Great Wave painting. We will learn about creating coils in clay as we design a tile with a sea creature of our choice. Exploring pinch pots techniques, students will design a bigmouth fish creation. We will also dive into a multi-medium work of art that combines an acrylic painting and a clay under the sea work of art. Join us as we explore the sea and set sail in clay with Smart with Art.
