Here at Camp Whetstone our mission is simple...for kids to have a safe, fun, learning experience each and every week. Each week we will have a new theme that will correlate with the different activities and programs scheduled. Our campers always look forward to the large variety of field trips every summer, which could include: the Columbus Zoo, Zoombezi Bay, Columbus Clippers game, ice skating, Metro Parks, gem mining and swimming at Tuttle Pool. (Some events and trips may require an additional fee to be paid, in cash, at the beginning of each week.) So, lets make new friends and lifelong memories together, at the always exciting, Camp Whetstone! Theme: Health & Safety Flexible drop off time between 7:15-9 am. Flexible pick up time between 4-6 pm. Breakfast and lunch provided. Some field trips and special events may require an additional fee and are subject to change. Invite your friends who were campers with you or served with you at FM Youth Camp! www.fmyouth.wix.com/reunion --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Who: All past campers and staff from FM Youth Camp What: Friday night it starts with a time to share memories and spend the night at the campgrounds! We will all spend the night in the dorms to bring back memories of when we were campers/staff at FM Youth! This event is for 7th grade and above. If you are 6th grade or below, a parent/guardian must be attending the event as well. We would LOVE to have families come! Bring your spouse and children; just make sure to register them too!! Saturday will be treated as a day of camp and a work day. It will conclude with a pie auction and hamburger fry at 6pm. Proceeds raised from this will go towards the trustees. Sunday Morning will be an optional church service at the campgrounds for those who wish to attend. We will have a potluck lunch after service. There is also a workday at the campgrounds starting...
St. Catherine's Koinonia 3 (SCK3) - Panora, IA
Mark your calendars! It's not-quite-but-almost that time of year again! St. Catherine of Siena will be having its third annual Koinonia retreat at the end of February next year (2016). What's Koinonia? It's a Greek word that means 'community'. This student-led retreat helps students grow in their friendship with the community as well as their relationship with God. More details will come soon, but for a general idea of what's going on, here's a bare-bones schedule: -Friday, Feb. 26: we leave St. Kate's and carpool to the St. Thomas More Retreat Center in Panora, IA in the late afternoon and stay for two nights and what turns out to be two days which we spend in prayer and fellowship with one another -Sunday, Feb. 28: we leave Panora in the late morning/early afternoon and return to DSM Applications will be available in the near future. The cost for the retreat is $25 (financial aid is available to those who need it) and more details will come as we get closer to February. And feel free to invite your friends! You don't have to be Catholic to come!

Summer is coming quickly and that means your children will be out of the house more and running around. You may not always be there to keep an eye on them so they need awareness and physical skills to back them up. Summer time is when your children have a greater chance of possible interactions with strangers and potential preditors. Let us help you get them armed with battle ready skills. What they will learn: *Abduction defense skills *What to do if they can't run *Assertiveness training and command presence *Think smarter than the bigger, stroner bad guy, and more... Cost will be $35.00. That's little to pay for "safety insurance" that can last a lifetime! Come and develop your soccer skills with OSU Head Coach Colin Carmichael, OSU Associate Head Coach Justin Elkington and OSU assistant coach Ben Williams. Coach Carmichael is a four time Big 12 Coach of the Year and three time NSCAA Regional Coach of the Year. Coach Elkington was voted NSCAA Assistant Coach of the Year in 2011. Both coaches have attained their USSF A licenses and their NSCAA Premier Diplomas. The OSU staff will be assisted by local youth coaches and current OSU soccer team members. The cowgirls have won 5 Big 12 Championships and competed in 9 NCAA tournaments.
