Summer programs provide innovative camps/programs that promote learning in a safe, friendly and fun environment. Our talented Summer Programs instructors have designed camps/programs that will nurture the inquisitive mind throughout the summer. All camps/programs are open to the public. Kayak your way through the harbor and play games like capture the flag, sponge tag, kayak soccer, knockout, and create your own scavenger hunt. Realize and go beyong your dreams of Zorro, Three Musketeers and lightsaber style through learning fencing as a modern sport! A safe martial arts practice with a sword as a medium! Maître darmes Guillaume Béchaux, has been teaching fencing for 20 years and brings a personal attention to each of his students. Guillaume managed numerous school groups and clubs in France and trained the French wheelchair Olympics team for Athens and Bejiing. The program will develop analytic capabilities and dexterity through a combination of pedagogical games, technicals exercises, tactical exploration and an understanding of the importance of time and space. Fencing is the art of quick reflexes, elegant and athletic movements and mental acuity. Spring Peepers: March 24th Listen for me on a spring night, on a wet night, on a rainy night. Listen for me on a still night, For in the night, I sing. (by Joyce Sidman). Campers hop in to our pond and join us as we celebrate our awesome amphibians. Slimey salamanders, fantastic frogs, toadally cool toads will come out to play. We will take a hike to our local pond and muck about searching for spring peepers. Hop to it, you dont want to miss our frog races. Campers will make frogalicious snacks and funky frog crafts. Check In & Late Registration: 7:30 Am - 8:30 AM, Camp Hours 8:30 AM - 4:00 PM Full Day Campers need to bring a sack lunch. Youth Summer Camp will consist of Lectures on Hitting, Infield Play, Outfield Play, Bunting, and Baserunning. Pitching & Catching will be covered in the afternoon sessions only. Campers will get to experience Extended Bag games at the end of each session against kids in their age range and will compte in the Roadrunner Olympics on the final morning of camp.
