What is "Work A Thon"? It's a great opportunity for young people and youth groups to get together, have fun, help the camp, and earn free weeks to use or share with friends. "What do I need to do?" Ask your parents, grandparents, aunts, uncles, brother, cousins, friends, the barista at the coffee shop, the cable repair guy, EVERYBODY to sponsor you by paying for your days labor. Earn $250 and get a week of camp at 1/2 price. Earn $500 and get a free week of camp! Lunch and drinks will be provided! Not only do kids get tremendous instruction with Archery but we try to instill a greater sense of the outdoors and taking advantage of our nations parks! Featured Fieldtrip: Science Museum, St. Paul - featuring the National Parks Omni Movie attraction, Thursday, July 21. FYI - The actual day camp runs from 9am-4pm though kids are welcome to get dropped off as early as 7am and picked up as late as 6pm. There is so much activity between these hours! Richmond has some of the best urban mountain biking trails around! Join the staff of Virginia Outside for daily instruction, trail rides and lots of fun. Campers will develop beginner and intermediate mountain biking skills including: steering, shifting, hill climbing and descending, log hopping, dodging obstacles, etiquette, maintenance, safety and more. Campers will ride in the morning, have an activity such as tubing or snorkeling on the James River, then get back on the bikes in the afternoon. Virginia Outside provides mountain bikes and helmets, but campers are welcome to bring their own. 804-272-6362
