8-Week Introduction to non-contact rugby for grades K-2nd! Non-contact rugby is a modified version of the traditional tackle version of the game and is an excellent way to introduce the sport to new or young players. This version of the game focuses on the fundamental skills of rugby which help develop basic motor skills and coordination, while also having a huge emphasis on having fun! Tremper Cheerleaders are holding their Basketball Cheer Kid's Clinic on Saturday, Feb. 4th from 9:00 am to Noon at Tremper High School. Girls will play games, learn cheers, jumps and a short dance. Cost is $30.00 which includes a t-shirt to wear on the performance day which is Tuesday, Feb. 7th @ 5:30. Girls should arrive at Tremper at 4:30 to run through things. The girls will do sidelines for the 1st half of the JV Basketball game with the Tremper Cheerleaders and then perform at 1/2 time with them as well. After halftime, they are free to leave. We’re debuting 5 mini-camp sessions designed specifically for the “older kiddos!” These camps focus on fun and skill building over 3 consecutive afternoons of concentrated creation – allowing time for larger projects and deeper investigation of themes hand picked from customer recommendations! These camps run from 1-4 in the afternoon and are designed for students in 5th grade and up. Early bird registration rates are $75 for 1 mini camp, $100 after May 15. We tip our hats to the old Aquatics Week that some old timers remember. But retro is not what we are going for. This week all of our campers will have a chance to sail, canoe, kayak, and PADDLEBOARD. Join us as we discover with you the joys yet another self-propelled water sport. Paddleboard the outlet stream, sail a great Adirondack Lake, kayak a great river, and learn from the sport that started it all: canoeing!
