Watch great movies and learn about critiquing films. Develop a sense for recognizing the thematic (the directors goal of the film), dramatic (storytelling elements) and stylistic aspects (genre) of a movie. Besides having fun at the movies and eating popcorn each week with your friends, you can share your insights and newly found skills of thoughtfully critiquing a film. Well usually take two after school sessions to watch one movie. Each Monday well watch half of a film and follow with a brief discussion, which includes identifying key characteristics and sharing what we thought worked well or not. Campers will meet Audubon Society raptor, and discover what summer time birds live in the park.
