Royal Family Kids Annual Fall Shopping Bazaar 2016 - Princeton, WV
We’re looking forward to another successful Bazaar this fall! If you missed out on our annual Fall/Christmas Bazaar last year, you certainly won’t want to miss this year! A fun filled day of shopping with local crafters and vendors to support Royal Family Kids Camp of Princeton, WV which is a camp for abused, neglected, and at risk children of Southern WV. (More information on our organization can be found on our Facebook page) Table Fees are $25.00 per table and each vendor/crafter will need to provide 1 item to donate for the silent auction. Table fees and silent auction proceeds go to the camp. – Should you need a larger space please message us and we will accommodate you with a fee to best fit the space needed. July 22: Sculpture - Inspired Minds - Studio A
Parents can go out for some free time knowing their children are being inspired on a Friday night! Each Friday we will be offering a 3 hour drop off class, with a break for some pizza and a game. Students will be guided through a 1 day art project with room for creativity and exploration. Safety Camp - Blue Heron Elementary School
Lino Lakes Public Safety Department, Centennial Lakes Police Department, Centennial Fire District, Lexington Fire Department, and Lino Lakes Parks and Recreation Department present the Annual Safety Camp! Unintentional injuries are the leading cause of serious injury and/or death of children. This camp is taught by those who respond to those types of incidents each day in an effort to reduce the numbers of injuries that occur each year. The camp includes sessions on bike safety, fire safety, 911 procedure, water safety, personal safety, electrical safety, outdoor safety and first aid - all in an informative and fun atmosphere. The knowledge campers learn will allow them to make the right decisions when faced with unsafe conditions. Safety Camp is intended for children entering 4th grade the fall of 2016. Pre-registration is required and limited to the first 150 participants Priority will be given to residents residing in Lino Lakes, Circle Pines, Lexington, and Centerville until June 17. Materials Science - Ensworth High School
How does stuff break? To answer this question, students investigate how stuff is made and in doing so, will break stuff! Destructive and nondestructive tests will be conducted to investigate catastrophic failures such as bridge collapse, airplane structural failure, containers that leak, pipes that burst, and electrical failures. Advances in materials are at the core of significant technological advances, and we are in a materials revolution today! Students experience a hands-on introduction to materials science, engineering, and technology, joining researchers who push boundaries further than ever before, using biology, chemistry and physics to expand our technological frontiers.
