The Founders and Evolution of Summer Resorts & Kids Camps - Readfield,
Four years ago Charles L. Day and Dale Potter-Clark began the process of gathering information for "Founders and Evolution of Summer Resorts..." right here at a Maranacook Community Education class. Fifty or more enthusiastic people gathered that evening to share stories and to learn about the resorts, hotels and kids’ camps that have existed in this immediate area. After years of conducting personal interviews, making site visits and doing exhaustive research Charles and Dale have published a 356 page book packed with 220+ vintage photos and information about more than forty establishments that have existed on the four lakes. Thrown in for good measure is “The Larches” on “Lake Myra” in Readfield. Included is the history of the railroad, steamboats and the trolley in this area as well as the various establishments, founders and directors. Dale will first talk about the process and some discoveries made while researching and writing the book and following this she will do a reading. She will be available to sell and sign books after the presentation. Potter-Clark will be offering three classes the spring of 2017 (Mar, Apr, May) at $12.50 each or $30 for all three. Proceeds will help fund a "Museum in the Streets" in Readfield.

Titus Ladies and Teen Girls Retreat - Lowville, NY
Margy Harryman, who will be speaking to mothers and wives, and Molly Sparling, who will be speaking with teen girls ages 13-18, will be sharing a shortened version of their Titus Bible Studies based on Titus 2:3-5. Ladies and girls will be meeting separately, but we will all enjoy our meals and breaks together. Retreat will cover one night lodging, Saturday breakfast and lunch and speakers expenses. Cabins (group settings): $70.00 per person Motel units$100.00 for the unit for up to 4 people plus $30.00 per person. Dietary restrictions can be accomodated. Toddler Boot Camp: 'I'm a Big Kid Now' - Battle Creek, MI
Youngsters and their families will enjoy stories, crafts, songs, and surprises at Toddler Boot Camp. This themed four-week story time is geared to children 1-5 years old to encourage them to transition from the baby stages to a big kid. Stories and songs such as "Bye Bye Binky," " No More Diapers," and "No More Monsters," will be shared to make transitioning for parent and child a fun experience.

Robotics Camp with Mr. McCarter - Sycamore School
Sycamore science teacher Mr. McCarter has a long and successful history of coaching students in both the Vex and Lego robotics competitions. The competitions are great motivators, but the true value is the hands on learning that happens when students engage with robots. This camp is designed to do exactly that. Legends All Sport Experience Camp - Summit On The Park
Fee $145M/$150R/$160NR M-F 9am-2pm Camp will offer a variety of sport experiences over the span of a week. In addition to fundamental skills, this camp will include agility training, sport specific training, rules and strategy. Basketball, baseball, flag football, floor hockey and more will be covered.
