It's here! The Fall edition of our Teen Power Camp provides a fundamental fitness foundation for any high school student, scaled to anyone from first timers just trying to get into shape to high school athletes looking for structured off-season training or additional in-season work. The Teen Power Program will introduce athletes to bodyweight exercises, gymnastics, powerlifting and basic olympic weightlifting, all while under the close supervision of a certified CrossFit instructor. Our goal is to teach local Teens how to safely and efficiently move their body and external objects (bars, kettlebells, medicine balls, etc) through space, dramatically improving body composition and improving athletic ability in anyone. Our program is designed to increase stamina, strength, power, endurance, coordination, balance, accuracy and flexibility in any person, all while in a team environment filled with positive people. Every workout is scaled to ANY teens capacity. Teens must be at least 13 years of age and emotionally mature. Cost is $119 per month for children of Apogee members and $139 for children of non-Apogee members Class runs 330-430pm every Tuesday and Thursday. Interested? Summer Sing 2.0 - Valley Springs Presbyterian Church
July 13 – 17 Summer Sing 2.0 For boys and girls entering grades 5 – 8 An all-day experience, 8:30am – 4:30pm that is filled with music, singing, and electives. Improve your singing voice with group lessons and one on one coaching from the Artistic Director. Electives like guitar, recorder, musical crafts, choreography, and drama will be offered as well as our Afternoon Specials. Theme for the week, Musicals with Class. Instructor: Pamela Howett () Room: D-5 In this engaging class students will draw favorite undersea animals, including dolphins, sea stars, clownfish and more while learning fundamentals of art. Our fun projects are geared towards developing drawing skills within each class, as well as encouraging individual creativity and expression. While many of the projects are guided, each student works with his or her own vision and produces a unique finished piece. This class helps children develop cognitive skills, motor skills, social skills, and both verbal and non-verbal communication skills.
