LATEST CAMPS NEWS: Creative Dramatics - KidsOnStage - The Little Theatre of Alexandria
NO CLASS ON FEBRUARY 13. This class is designed for 3rd-5th grade students. Using their natural abilities and imaginations, students will learn how to create their stage characters through theatre games, teamwork, problem solving; and, at the same time develop students confidence. Class includes an introduction to onstage and backstage needs for a show. A final production, April 1-2, will be presented on the main stage. INSTRUCTOR KATHY DILLABER is a JMU graduate, B.A. Communication Arts & Educational Certification, plus graduate studies. Post college, she performed at Tecumseh, Ohio; ‘Land of Oz, N. C.; Busch Gardens, Williamsburg; and local theatres. Since 2013, she participates annually in the Broadway Teachers Workshop, NYC, working with Broadways top artists onstage and backstage. Workshops explored the theatre craft as it pertains to school and community productions. Other experiences include a techie backstage and a theatre instructor where she has directed numerous childrens productions. 10 am sign up at the mark. $20.00 driver $10.00 rider. Ride leaves at noon on a scenic route to the Dowagiac Moose and then back to playland hall on Nickerson Ave. Lunch and dinner supplied. Cash bar. Door prizes and silent auction. We want to make this one of the largest events we have done for MDA and send as many kids to camp as we can at no charge to them. Creative techniques will also be introduced to help enhance their skills and imaginations! Students are required to bring their own SD card to each class. After the presentation we will walk to the Space needle to work on composition assignments. Back in class students will print their 3 best shots of the day. Softball Camp Week 1 - Penn State Behrend Athletics
Get hands on experience learning from Penn State Behrend coaches and athletes at summer camp! All levels of experience welcome. Camp runs Monday through Friday. All campers receive a free shirt as well. Equipment needed: Bring own playing gear including shorts, swimsuit, shirt, socks, sneakers or molded cleats, mitt, and catchers gear (if you have a set). 814-898-6180
Foothills Day Camp - Session 3 - Community Services Department - City of Palo Alto
Celebrating 57 years of creating lifelong friends, long lasting memories, and a deep respect and love for nature, Foothills Day Camp is back for another incredible summer in the great outdoors. Each session includes pre and post camp, which means campers can be dropped off anytime between 7:30am-8:45am, and picked up anytime between 4-6pm (drop-off and pickup location is at the Girl Scout House). Additionally, campers will spend the second Thursday of each session sleeping under a blanket of stars at Camp Towle for the ultimate campout experience. Night activities include a delicious BBQ, animated storytelling around the campfire, a thrilling night hike, and more.
