Teen Plein Air: Art In Motion Camps #1 & 2 - Bow, WA
Choose from Camp #1 July 11th-15th or Camp #2 July 18th-July 22nd. Class Cost per week $87.50. Camp #1: 3:00pm-5:00pm -- Plein Air (**Students encouraged to participate in Part I & II) "Examining our surroundings in detail, seeing beauty not only in the spectacular but also in the smallest growing things" (Lowenfeld) . In addition to work in our cozy studio, small Plein-Air outings will be held at 2 locations during this one week workshop. Students will learn how to connect with their surroundings. Students develop their observation skills and increase their knowledge about the world around them. Parents expected to drive students to the Plein-Air location specified prior to class. Camp #2: 3:00pm-5:00pm -- Plein Air II: Art In Motion This is a stand alone class of can be the second step to week 1. Kids Latin Dance Camp - Lafayette, LA
This is an introductory course of popular Latin dances. It is appropriate for all levels of dance experience. Classical Ballet is incorporated into the curriculum to ensure proper technique is applied in all dance styles. The dancers will be split into two groups. Level 1 & 2 Mountain Bike - Ute Valley Park @ Pinon Valley
This camp is for kids with Level 1 and Level 2 mountain biking skills. Kids will break into two groups after the first day of camp based on age/ability. LEVEL 1 After a kid has become confident riding a bicycle on two wheels, with the ability to steer and brake the bike appropriately, we move into more skill development of bicycle handling, overall confidence, and building up young mountain biking ambassadors. We teach appropriate trail and group riding etiquette and build on the childs ability to brake, steer, and handle the bicycle on gravel both uphill and downhill. LEVEL 2 This level becomes the difference between a ‘beginner and an ‘intermediate mountain biker. Though age is not the determining factor, kids are usually at least 7 years old and have been riding a bicycle confidently for a couple years. With level 2 comes more substantial mountain biking with drills specific to handling a bicycle on singletrack. Capacity for riding grows to longer consecutive riding stretches, maintaining energy and enthusiasm for riding, and the ability to show multiple riding skills naturally.
