Whitetail Resort's Kid's Adventure Camps - Mercersburg, PA
This day camp for children ages 7-12 offers an opportunity to experience many outdoor activities throughout the day. Campers arrive each morning ready to get outside and expand their horizons. They start the day with a game of kickball or a snack of fruit before heading to their first session. Each camper is placed with a group of peers to experience these adventure based programs. From navigating the resort with a compass to paddling kayaks on the reservoir, they are certain to work up an appetite. A healthy lunch is provided at our Tubing Lodge for their mid-day break before resuming activities in the afternoon. After lunch, it’s back to the woods for an archery lesson or to build wilderness huts. At the end of the day, campers return to the lodge for a snack and free time with their new friends before heading home. Get adventurous this summer! Art Excellence Camp - Community Recreation Center (CRC)
Why sit at home when you could be making friends and creating art? This camp will be filled with a variety of arts and crafts projects. Learn about primary, secondary and tertiary colors and use several different types of art mediums. The 8-12 year old camp will have a brief overview of art history as well. There will be an art show the last day of camp. We will get messy so wear an old shirt, or bring a smock to class. Campers will receive a T-shirt! Healthcare Exploration Academy - LeTourneau University
Are you interested in becoming a healthcare professional, doctor, nurse, etc.? Then this camp is for YOU! You will learn skills professionals use every day in the hospital. Campers will have hands-on learning experiences working as healthcare providers. Activities will include learning how to take blood pressures, apply personal protective equipment, listen to heart and lung sounds, give injections, start IVs, suture wounds, participate in a simulation scenario and much more. This after-school club meets every Wednesday to unplug, experience farm-life, do a little homework and get active outdoors. Fun, hands-on activities strive to cultivate childrens connection to the environment, inspiring a genuine understanding of how and why we promote clean, healthy habitats for all living things. Remember when you were growing up and played for hours outside with your friends? Things may have changed since then we are excited to offer a unique camp that adds these type of experiences to your childs summer in a safe and welcoming way. Each day pack a snack in your backpack, wear clothes that can get dirty and lets hit the trail in search of adventures! Activities can vary each day depending on the weather, childrens ages or the groups interests. Examples of some favorite activities from last summer include fishing for crabs from Ringbolt Rock, making found object sail boats or pitching the tent for a day time camp out on Planters Hill. Using the Robotics Invention System by LEGO and a computer, youll partner up with a peer to program everything from a light-sensitive intruder alarm to a robot rover that can follow a trail.
