Summer Camping Trip! Come join is for the annnual weekend of fun in the woods! Catawa Falls Campground offers great streamside tent camping sites, cabins and fantastic waterfalls to explore. We will be hiking and exploring the area around that Campground. We will be 25minutes from Asheville, NC The cost will be roughly $10.00 per person per day of tent camping. The sites we will secure are right off the river! We will have a nearby pavillion to grill and cook. There are MANY cabins to choose from, the cabins have electricity but no running water. All showers will be at the bath house in the middlefo the campground. Those that want to paticipate in getting a cabin please let me know and we can firgure out the cost per person. Campfires every night! Get your marshmellows ready! THIS IS A KID FRIENDLY EVENT!! Kids will have plenty to do with creeks to wade through and a playground nearby. CLAY CAMP - 3 days Monday, June 20th, Tuesday June 21st and Monday June 27th, 2016 8:30am - 12:30pm at Seaside Studios San Pedro Projects will include making fairy/troll habitats for the garden! The first 2 days in camp we will be forming our projects utilizing basic hand building techniques such as coil, slab and pinch pot techniques. The 3rd day (Monday of the following week) will be for glazing the piece with the goal of having a finished fired piece by end of the mixed arts camp July 1st. Kid's clay camp is recommended for kids between the ages of 7 and 13 years of age. Clay camp is $85 per child per session. It is highly recomended to do both clay and mixed arts camps if possible as they tie in nicely together. They will learn how to thread machines, sew straight seams and iron them, as well as some different techniques for finishing seams, and how to add closures (snaps, buttons, zippers, ties) to projects. More experienced campers may choose to learn how to cut from a pattern and make a simple garment such as pajama shorts. During all weeks...New children: will work on the basics and pick special projects and team up with the experts. Returning children: will be able to continue with what they heave learned, re-make favorites. NEED: labeled water bottle, snack, lunch and shopping bag to hold projects.
