Following John Feierabends curriculum of First Steps in Music, we will be singing, acting, dancing and creating music. We are literally creating a full-immersion musical experience that can be the ground work for further musical studies, both vocal and instrumental! We will be using dance to both express music and understand lyrics; we will explore both folk and classical music pieces. Additional experiences include acting with puppets & costumes; expressive dance with hand-dyed silk scarves and ribbon sticks; and beginning instrumental play on drums and pitched instruments (xylophones, glockenspiels, ukuleles where appropriate). Coat-A-Kid Charity BootCamp - Chesterfield, MO
This will be our 3rd consecutive December hosting a Coat-A-Kid Charity BootCamp! Come out to support an awesome charity, have fun and get your sweat on... that is unless you hate kids! ;) All fitness levels are welcome! Classes are 1 hour and begin at 8am & 9:30am. Max 20 people per group so be sure to sign up in advance! $20/person (you can pay at the door or in advance). The $20 donation will cover the cost of a NEW coat, gloves and hat for 1 child. TO REGISTER: 1) We have a sign up sheet at the gym. 2) Email us at [email protected] and let us know which time you would like to attend. Coat-A-Kid provides new coats, hats and gloves, free of charge, to kids in need in the St. Louis area. They are 100% volunteer run, so 100% of the proceeds go to coating children!

No experience necessary. Cost is $125 per teen. Only equipment they will need is a mouthpiece. We will provide all other equipment. Wear comfortable workout clothes and bring a couple extra changes of clothes. The participants can pack a lunch (we have a fridge and a microwave, or there are three pizza places, Arby's and Subway that are all within walking distance.

Week #1 - Faith Camp present "Be a Hero" We welcome you to Week #1 of 3 weeks of fun, adventure, and learning. Our hope is that the Faith Camp experience will follow your child home and bless your family. Faith Camp is for children who have completed Kindergarten - 5th grade by June, 2016. If you need Before Camp or After Camp Care, please choose that option below. Before Camp opens at 7:30 AM. After Camp closes at 5:30 PM. Please Note: * Children who will have completed the 5th Grade by the time Faith Camp begins are known as Disciple Campers. These campers have a different experience than everyone else. Our DCs are exposed to Servant Leadership as they engage as helpers to our paid staff and participate in an off-site service opportunity and off-site field trip. There is an extra nominal fee for the field trip (movies, bowling, skating, etc.) * Because staff is hired and t-shirts and supplies are ordered according to our registration numbers, we are unable to give refunds within 30 days of your scheduled week of camp. Skills in the visual arts are built in the same way as learning to play a musical instrument or sport: by practicing and training, and by challenging you with new techniques and ideas. In Drawing and Discovery, young artists ages 6-11 will explore fundamental concepts of line, texture, shading, and color through the fun, creative, and age-appropriate projects. Students will try their hand at figure drawing, portraits, volume and perspective, and experiment with professional art materials. Students will work independently or as a group according to their age, level of experience, personal interest and individual artistic style. Note: This class will be offered continuously during the year, allowing students to progressively develop skills in visual literacy, perception and creativity progressively. Rutgers 2016 Design Intensive Website: This program seeks to develop the graphic design skills of motivated high school artists. Created and supervised by Mason Gross faculty, the curriculum focuses on core principles of design while introducing relevant software. Participants will become familiar with Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign while exploring visual problems and producing work suitable for a college admissions portfolio. The Design Intensive includes studio work, technical demonstrations, group critiques, and a field trip to New York City to visit working design studios. Primary emphasis is placed on building visual awareness, and on making software serve the designers vision. Grouped according to age and level, our highly trained teachers will lead teens to pick up communication skills while exploring Francophone culture. Open to all levels of Middle and High School French. These camps will help students in transition from Middle to High School, review past materials, get a head start on new material and skip a grade level. Mornings will focus on academics and in the afternoons teens will explore French cultures in Los Angeles with a program designed just for them!
