LATEST CAMPS NEWS: 1st-5th Grade Program : Headed to the White House - The Philadelphia School
We will visit the National Constitution Center for a special, opening day tour of the traveling exhibit, Headed to the White House. The new exhibit is designed to take visitors from the campaign trail to Inauguration Day, as it explores all aspects of a U.S. presidential election through a variety of media including role-playing opportunities, artifact exploration and more. The multi-faceted experience gives visitors both the opportunity to learn about past candidates in iconic historical elections and to also become a candidate themselves in a simulated presidential election experience. A tasty, mid-morning snack will be served. Upon our return to TPS, students will have the opportunity to design their own campaign button. Please pack a lunch (including a beverage) in a disposable bag. For the safety of our students, please DO NOT INCLUDE PEANUT BUTTER or any nuts in your childs lunch. Students are required to wear a red t-shirt on all trips. The program will run from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., with drop-off available in the yard beginning at 8:00 a.m. (at no extra charge). **Extended day is available from 3:00 p.m. - 5:30 p.m. for an additional $20. Kids Pursuit is ready to bring MEGA Sports Camp to the community of Minot. Children entering K-5th Grade will get to spend each evening making friends, learning sports skills, and having FUN! The Fall edition of our Teen Power Camp provides a fundamental fitness foundation for any high school student, scaled to anyone from first timers just trying to get into shape to high school athletes looking for structured off-season training or additional in-season work. The Teen Power Program will introduce athletes to bodyweight exercises, gymnastics, powerlifting and basic olympic weightlifting, all while under the close supervision of a certified CrossFit instructor. Our goal is to teach local Teens how to safely and efficiently move their body and external objects (bars, kettlebells, medicine balls, etc) through space, dramatically improving body composition and improving athletic ability in anyone. Our program is designed to increase stamina, strength, power, endurance, coordination, balance, accuracy and flexibility in any person, all while in a team environment filled with positive people. Every workout is scaled to ANY teens capacity. Teens must be at least 13 years of age and emotionally mature.
