Canyon Creek is just about an hour’s drive outside LA and I’m really glad we took our kids. They learned a lot about several different sports and seemed to be really excited when we picked them up. It is near a large lake and is a beautiful area. The camp was huge and had many sporting facilities. All of the equipment seemed to be new and the camp counselors were great with the kids. Walworth Family Reunion Notice! Date: August 12, 13, 14, 2016 Arrive: 6:00 p.m. on 12th Depart: 4:00 p.m. on Sunday the 14th Camp Fees: My contract says $550.00 per day for 50 people. $10.00 per person per day over 50 people. Children 7 and under are free. This may change a bit but not much if it does. Food: We have traditionally hosted and pd. for the Friday night meal as we aren’t traveling. Saturday 3 meals, and Sunday 2 meals will be provided for the actual cost of the food, and divided by the total number of people coming. Children 7 and under are free. All of you who have come to the Lion’s camp in the past are familiar with the Nazi who was running it. I am pleased to announce that she is no longer there. A wonderful lady by the name of Jessica Thomas is running it now. Her and I discovered today that the Nazi manager wrote us into a different date than I was told at our last reunion there. Pick your session or take them all, as each week offers a new creative path for campers to explore. Character development, playwriting, improvisation, ensemble work and overall confidence are just some of the skills campers will master!
