PLACES EVERYONE! The curtain is rising on a great chance to find your theatre voice. Through a series of FUN master classes that focus on everything from vocal techniques and how to read music, to solo and ensemble work in acting, song, dance, and improvisation, this unique workshop will help you build your own tool kit of theatre essentials, as you create your own work! In addition to an ending showcase, we will be joined by special, guest experts in stagecraft, create our own visuals, and learn audition techniques that will connect everything we will do over the three weeks. Best Summer Ever
Our son just got back from the YMCA Camp and he can't stop talking about all the fun. We knew he was having a good time based on the photos he sent us but to see his face light up when he is retelling the stories is priceless. I'm sure we'll be hearing about the surf lessons, the horseback riding and the campfires for months to come! Hip Hop Majorettes - Power House Athletics
Xclusive Divaz was founded in May 2015 in Illinois. Xclusive Dizaz promotes positivity, character, class, and self-esteem for young women ages four and older. The staff gives young girls a venue outside of their home to grow and bond with other girls their same age. Not only are they a dance group, they are here to promote positivity, build character, self-confidence, and to uplift each other through the art of dance. This is only the beginning of something that is destined to be extremely great and effective for the youth of our city today. 708-351-2361
Science Beach Camp Week 1 - Roundhouse Aquarium
Time: 9am-12pm Ages: 4-10 *drop off and pick up at the base of the pier *snacks provided *t-shirt included Activities may include: digging for sand crabs, playing in the waves, dissecting squid, learning about sharks, looking at plankton using a microscope, building sand sculptures, coke explosions, making crafts, building a boat, doing experiments, touching live animals, shooting a lemon cannon, playing beach games, and more! *A schedule of what activities will be done each day is available on our website: / Important Information: No refunds or credit without 2 business days notice for cancellation of any class -10% charge for all other cancellations -$10 charge for all class scheduling changes -There is a $10 charge per child for each 15 minutes a guardian is late for pick up -CPR/First aid certified staff present at all camps -All water activities done in front of LA county lifeguard tower -Average 3 campers per counselor, Maximum of 5 campers per counselor 310-379-8117
Super Heroes, Super Builders! - Hazen High School
The Super Heroes need your help to save the day! Create motorized vehicles using LEGO® components for the heroes to ride. Make the Batmobile, a flying craft for Supergirl, Captain Americas motorcycle, Iron Mans Quinjet, and the perfect ride for Spiderman. Each day, students have a mission to accomplish with the help of the project they build. We provide step-by-step instructions so students can incorporate motors and gears into their creations. Students then customize their projects and proceed on their missions. Students learn about the following mechanisms and systems as they build and play with their projects: •How gears control the speed and torque (power) of vehicles •How pulley systems transfer power to move objects •How you can change the direction of movement with bevel gears •How liftarms can be used to make strong attachments and add cool designs to creations •How to build fast-moving vehicles that stay together in crash tests •How to make Super Hero minifigures leap ten times their length in a single bound (really)! Join the camp and increase your building and creative "super powers"! with other campers. Builders are sure to have the force with them in this camp! Treibball Week 4 - Animal Training Adventure Center
Treibball is a new way to play with your dog! Its a competitive sport for dogs of all ages and sizes. Treibball promotes better teamwork and communication between a dog and his handler. Its great fun for any energetic dog who works well off-leash and needs a job. Playing the game uses a combination of classic obedience and herding cues. Treibball began in Germany to give energetic dogs some much needed mental and physical stimulation. It is a great game, and a perfect pastime for American dogs and their owners, too! Its fun for any dog that loves to play chase games, herd, or just use his amazing, problem-solving ability. Competing in Agility takes special equipment, the ability to run with your dog and direct him through each obstacle. Treibball promotes the same kind of teamwork and communication, but does not put any physical stress on the handler. This game can be used to build confidence for a shy dog and help a reactive dog with impulse control. The session will also include animal-themed games.
