Remember summer camp? Remember making new friends, learning new skills, getting a cool t-shirt and having fun? Following a sold-out debut last year, we are bringing back the joy of camp, but for grown-ups only. Grown-Up Summer Camp is a day-long immersive experience with artists, musicians, chefs, curators, and performers throughout the campus. Activities include making cardboard forts to battle rival campers, discovering hidden areas of the IMA campus, foraging the woods for edible plants, and cooking dinner with Cerulean chef Caleb France. Cap off the day gathering by the campfire with a drink with live music by local bands. We will spend time in Bible study, team building, break-out sessions, and recreation. We will look at: 1. Why defend my faith? 2. How do I know Christianity is true? 3. Is God real? 4. Can I trust the Bible We will also have break-out sessions discussing: 1. Why does God allow evil? 2. How to share and defend my faith at school. 3. How to prepare a bible study/sermon. 4. How do I balance sports and faith? 5. How do I have a quiet time? 6. Evangelism tools: using different tools to share the Gospel. Legend Acres summer camp sessions give horse loving boys and girls the opportunity to spend plenty of time with these wonderful animals. Campers are divided into groups, based on their ability, to provide riders with activities appropriate to their skill levels. In addition, campers take part in the daily grooming, tacking up and care of the horse or pony assigned to them. Campers also participate in activities that promote good horsemanship as well as arts and crafts , snacks and lunch included. We offer three summer camp programs, based on age. Session II Girls Basketball - Cornerstone University
Grades 7-11 (Overnight/Commuter Camp) Commuter campers follow the same daily schedule as the overnight campers. They are free to leave after league play (9:00PM) Check-in will be Monday morning from 8:00 AM to 9:00 AM in the Bernice Hansen Athletic Center. Please look for postings to help make this time easier and more convenient for all. Parents, we will register your child as quickly as possible so that you are able to get to work on time. Each day we will have fundamental and team practice in the morning. Free time will be from 2:30 to 4:45. Campers may go back to their dorm to relax, play pool, ping-pong or stay in the gym and watch the camp counselors play basketball. Dinner is from 4:45 to 5:30 with league play from 6:00 to 9:00. If you are a commuting camper attending an overnight camp week, the cost of your dinner meal is not included in the camp tuition you paid. Therefore, you may purchase a dinner meal plan for the week at the time of registration.
