YHBC Chapel Dedication - Beattyville, KY
You are invited to the dedication of the new chapel at Youth Haven Bible Camp at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 21! A reception with refreshments will follow the dedication service. As most of you know, the chapel honors the memory of Julia Brandenburg, daughter of KMM missionaries, Scott and Amy Brandenburg. Chapel services were Julia’s favorite activity at Youth Haven and while she was able to enjoy only one summer as a camper before her passing in 2012, countless children will continue to hear the gospel message in the new chapel in the years to come. Although there may be work yet to be done, the building will be dedicated for God’s use and glory on May 21. If you plan to attend, please contact us by May 9, as this will help in our preparation for the event. If you have prayed, sent a gift for the project, donated materials and/or worked on the new chapel, we would love to have you join us! Please come celebrate and give praise with us!

Youth Bowling Camp - Pleasant Hill, IA
Great Escape is partnering with Pleasant Hill Parks & Recreation to host a week long bowling camp. Attendees will be divided into age groups to learn fundamentals such as approach, delivery, hand position, release, spot bowling, and spare conversions. Certified bowling instructors will be instructing the camp. Tuesday - Full Year - Four Rock
In October we will resume our homeschool series by following the changing seasons and further developing our our naturalist skills. Together well seek to develop an understanding of the unique ecology of this landscape while also deepening our connection to nature, ourselves and each other. This class is held entirely outdoors in wilderness conditions (no bathrooms or permanent structure for shelter) in all but extreme weather conditions. Well stay warm by keeping active, ducking out of the wind, soaking up the sun, and treating ourselves to snacks by occasional small campfires. Proper clothing--especially layers of wool--is essential, as is an adventurous, curious spirit! 978-463-2233

Advanced Artist Cooking Camp - Summer 2016 - The Big Table Cooking Company
This camp is designed for our older Advanced Artists who are looking for an art class to challenge their skill level and help them build a personal style. We will explore new and exciting art mediums taught by our expert art teachers. Afternoons will be full of artistic wonder while the mornings will be filled with culinary delights crafted by our campers under the guidance of culinary expert Sharon Masciocco. Survivalist Hiker Add-On - Middle School
This outdoors-oriented camp provides an ideal introduction to scouting, teaching the basics of camping, hiking, and survival. Using the expansive 60 acre Portledge campus and adjacent Coffin woods, campers learn how to hike paths, pitch tents, ration supplies, find resources, make maps, and apply critical thinking skills not just to survive, but to thrive in the great outdoors. Scibot (Humanoid Robotics) Ages 12-15 - Art Explorers Studio
Price includes $100 lab fee. Campers will work with the biomorphic robot Robosapien. Robosapien™ is a sophisticated fusion of technology and personality. Loaded with attitude and intelligence, Robosapien is the first robot based on the science of applied biomorphic robotics. With a full range of dynamic motion, interactive sensors and a unique personality, Robosapien is more than a mechanical companion — hes a multi-functional, thinking, feeling robot with attitude! Campers will learn programming and hacking basics and even turn their Robosapien into a Ninja Bot! Each camper will take home his or her own exciting Robosapien Humanoid Robot. Campers will also build from scratch our Vibrobot soldering project and construct a bot using a toothbrush. We highly recommend taking Camp Robot Mechanic prior to this camp.
