Spring Peepers: March 24th Listen for me on a spring night, on a wet night, on a rainy night. Listen for me on a still night, For in the night, I sing. (by Joyce Sidman). Campers hop in to our pond and join us as we celebrate our awesome amphibians. Slimey salamanders, fantastic frogs, toadally cool toads will come out to play. We will take a hike to our local pond and muck about searching for spring peepers. Hop to it, you dont want to miss our frog races. Campers will make frogalicious snacks and funky frog crafts. Pattern-Making Fundamentals - Manhattan - Esaie Couture Design School
Learn how to draft sewing patterns with flat pattern-making techniques. This course will give you all the basic skills you need to learn how to read and understand patterns and how to create your own pattern styles, using your own measurements to create a custom fit. Students will also learn about how to do simple alterations and changes to this basic pattern, aka the sloper (the fashion term for your basic pattern block). This is a great class for those with no skills in pattern-making or for those who sew and might have made clothes but with no technical training. Winter 2016 Wednesdays: Engineering - REALM Charter High School
Over this 8 week session, girls will apply math, science, and engineering concepts to build a tetrahedron kite and a mouse trap car. Through an understanding of geometry, structures, aerodynamics, velocity, and more, girls will use multiple construction methods and materials to bring their projects to life!
