LATEST CAMPS NEWS: 1st-5th Grade Program : Headed to the White House - The Philadelphia School
We will visit the National Constitution Center for a special, opening day tour of the traveling exhibit, Headed to the White House. The new exhibit is designed to take visitors from the campaign trail to Inauguration Day, as it explores all aspects of a U.S. presidential election through a variety of media including role-playing opportunities, artifact exploration and more. The multi-faceted experience gives visitors both the opportunity to learn about past candidates in iconic historical elections and to also become a candidate themselves in a simulated presidential election experience. A tasty, mid-morning snack will be served. Upon our return to TPS, students will have the opportunity to design their own campaign button. Please pack a lunch (including a beverage) in a disposable bag. For the safety of our students, please DO NOT INCLUDE PEANUT BUTTER or any nuts in your childs lunch. Students are required to wear a red t-shirt on all trips. The program will run from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., with drop-off available in the yard beginning at 8:00 a.m. (at no extra charge). **Extended day is available from 3:00 p.m. - 5:30 p.m. for an additional $20.
