Each Winter Elite Faceoff Days will consist of warm ups, presentation and group practice of specific faceoff techniques as well as real time faceoffs. Faceoff techniques will include footwork, stance, hand position, primary move, counter move, GB play, wing play, stick work, and shooting instruction, etc. Individual player observation and instruction will occur throughout. The Monroe County Sheriff's Office, in cooperation with the Georgia Public Safety Training Center, will be holding the 9th annual Safe Driving Camp for ages 15-17. The one day camp will teach new drivers about the consequences of distracted driving, the dangers of driving impaired, tips for defensive driving, skid recovery techniques, safety at railroad crossings, and demonstrate important vehicle maintenance practices. The camp will take place at the Georgia Public Safety Training Center from 9:00am until 4:30pm on Saturday, July 23, 2016. Anyone wishing to attend must complete the application and return it to the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office either in person or by mail. Deadline for applications is Friday, July 01, 2016. It is designed for advanced player development and will give each player an opportunity to showcase their talents to the University of Redlands coaching staff. The coaching staff, led by Head Coach Ralph Perez, creates an environment of competition, self-confidence, motivation, and enjoyment. Each player will be challenged with a demanding training schedule using collegiate level training on first-class training facilities. Attending the University of Redlands High School ID Camp is one of the best avenues of exposure to college soccer.
