LATEST CAMPS NEWS: Performing Arts Camp - Woodstock Town Hall Theatre
Sharon Groblicki will once again direct Pentangle Arts Summer Performing Arts Camp, with Nancy Boymer and musical direction by Bob Merrill. The theme this year is Children in Featured Broadway Roles, featuring songs and scenes from The Fantasticks, The Wizard of Oz and The Sound of Music. This years camp program teaches vocal technique and presentation, drama, improvisational theater, singing, and choreography. Classes are for children ages 8-13. Activities are indoors and outdoors. In addition, there will be some time allocated for swimming at the Woodstock Recreation Center– weather permitting – after lunch most days. Please note, if you child does not have a Rec Center swim pass, they will need $5 each day to cover the cost of using the pool. FOOD: Bring your own snack, lunch and water. DRESS: Comfortable clothing that allows for easy movement; sneakers, ballet or jazz shoes; and a swimming suit 802-457-3981

Kid's do Strollfit - Norman, OK
Second annual kids do Strollfit class. All kids are welcome to bring their baby stroller, lawn mower, anything they can push and they will do their own Strollfit class. Prizes will be given for best decorated vehicle/push item. I will assign older kids an exercise to teach to the other kids (generally 4 and up). Moms, please help them and practice with them. If you have a younger one that would like to teach, let me know and I will add them. Don't want to exclude any who wants to teach!! Be sure you bring your camera. Kid's Yoga Summer Camp: Week 2 - Indianapolis, IN
More than ever before, kids face an abundance of pressures and stress. Mindfulness practices, such as yoga, meditation and breathwork, can give children the tools they need to navigate their life in a way that is true and authentic to them. During this special week of yoga camp, we will explore the many gifts that yoga has to give. Children will participate in activities that empower and center them, foster a strong sense of self, and connect them to the greater community. One of the hottest new trends, 3D printing is perfect for prototyping, CAD development skills, and is just plain fun! 3D printers work by following a computers digital instructions to print an object using materials such as plastic, ceramics and metal. The printing process involves building up an object one layer at a time until its complete. This is an interactive camp designed to teach campers how to optimize designs and create a three-dimensional object of almost any shape from a 3D model. Campers will learn about CAD (computer assisted design), modeling and prototyping, the history of 3D printing, and how businesses and entrepreneurs are using 3D printers for everyday applications. Our "Grinders" program is ideal for beginners and intermediate players between the ages of 10 and 18. Practices will take place on the full 78 foot court. Players will be coached on the fundamentals of tennis in a fun, encouraging atmosphere. Players will develop athleticism through daily age-appropriate fitness activities, make friends and improve their game! The Drama Club will work under the direction of Lil Buds Artistic Director/Co-Founder Jeff Predmore. Mr. Predmore is a professional actor and Director here in Chicago. The students in the Drama Club will work as an ensemble to stage a selected scripted play. The play will be determined based on class size. The students will learn all aspects of putting on a theatrical production, from character creation, staging, choreography and vocal production. The session will end with a final performance for invited family and friends. We will be presenting and adaptation of little mermaid for our final performance.
