Farm Hands Camp is one of our most popular programs all year and we know why. Whether it is mucking out the stalls, collecting eggs, working in the garden or learning how to halter a sheep, there is never a dull moment on the farm! Although activities can vary depending on the day and age of the participants, we always try to instill the message that we are responsible for our own health, the health of our animals and for the care of this special place. Each day your child can expect to participate in chores in both the barnyard and garden. Of course, no Farm Hands experience would be complete without making new friends, games and nibbling fresh veggies fresh from the garden. We offer two types of programs. First, we have age specific programs. These sessions are a good fit for children that have attended camp year in and year out and like to have different age appropriate themes that build each year. They are also a great opportunity for children to meet other campers that are the same age and may be in school or other community programs with them. MOUNTAIN BIKING 201 $250 Grades 6+ July 25-29 8:30AM-2:00PM Did you know that within a half mile of the Greensboro Day School campus is access to over 35 miles of the best municipal mountain bike trails in North Carolina!?! Looking to build on a successful first year at the 2015 GDS summer camp , we are back for even more fun for 2016 with two sessions available! [MTB 101 June 13-17 and MTB 201 July 25-29] For a full week, your child will get the opportunity to safely explore our amazing local Greensboro mountain bike trails while also learning basic mountain bike repair and maintenance. Instruction will be provided from highly experienced local bike shop mechanics combined with skills instruction and guided rides from certified International Mountain Biking Association (IMBA) guides. This camp will split time between instruction, skills sessions and most importantly bike riding! All your child needs is a bike in good working condition with knobby tires and a helmet. Winter Prospect Camp - Oosterbaan Field House
This camp is a college identification camp. Field players and goalkeepers will work directly with the University of Michigan Mens Soccer staff to experience the daily training environment of the U-M Mens Soccer program. The camp will consist of on-field technical training, small-sided and large-sided games, as well as a lecture regarding the recruiting process. Local college coaches across all NCAA divisions will also be invited to evaluate campers. 734-647-1201
