Ninja Obstacle Academy Huntsville is hosting a Ninja Kids Camp to support Kaitlyn's Running for Joy Fundraiser! The 3hr camp will cost $40 per child ages 6 and up! Anyone who watches the news regularly can tell you that bullying is an epidemic that has infected the learning experience for so many kids in schools that it must be taken seriously. Bullying can no longer be seen as a possibility, but an unfortunate eventuality. Relying on empathetic bystanders to step up in defense of bullied children is a wonderful idea, but it can be unreliable when a child is left to fend for themselves. So why not plant the seeds of self-confidence in your kids that upstanders have? What is an Upstander? An Upstander is someone who Stands Up for themselves or others when a bullying incident occurs. Youth Ski Trip - Freedom, NH
Youth Ski Trip: for our 7th-12th grade students from Friday February 10th to Sunday February 12th we will be at Camp Calumet in West Ossipee, New Hampshire for a wonderful and blessed weekend of skiing and being in fellowship with one another. Make sure to sign up and get your forms located on the Sunday School Bulletin Board (they will be posted in January 2017). Make sure to come to the Parent & Youth meeting on February 5th before church at 8:30am to go over payments, fill out paperwork and go over the schedule for the Youth Ski Trip. Cost is $130.00 per person this year and if you are in need of rentals or lessons, it will be an additional $20.00 each (they are really $30.00 each, but Northside picks up the other $10.00 per lesson or/and rental for each person). Please make sure to attend our Brunch Fundraiser on February 5th after church to raise funds for travel and for our chaperones. If you are unable to go to the Fundraiser, you will need to pay an additional $25.00.

Students will create a school newspaper that may include sections such as jokes/riddles, short stories, poems, other types of creative writing, student led staff interviews, school news/events, illustrations, etc. The end result will be a published newspaper that the students will administer to the student body and staff. 609-298-6900
Week 8: Day Camp Assistant Training (Leadership Development) - Camp Tanadoona
Day Camp Assistant (DCA) Training is the first step in Tanadoonas leadership development program. DCAs spend the first half of the week engaging in teambuilding workshops and interactive leadership training with lead camp staff. Training includes first aid, behavior management, specialty programming and basic counselor skills. DCAs immediately apply their training when they are partnered with Tanadoona Counselors to assist with Day Camp groups during the second half of the week. Staying overnight on Thursday to help with the Thursday Overnight campers provides additional experiential learning. We recommend a minimum of two years of DCA before progressing to CIT. 612-235-7284

Do you like playing video games? Do you enjoy visual art? Come learn the basics of computer coding while you design you own games and art. We will use resources from code.org, Computer Science Unplugged, and the Scratch platform. This camp is intended for those who have never taken a coding course before. Whether it is flag football, basketball, baseball, soccer, or dodgeball, you are sure to have fun and learn something new about all the sports we play during the week.
