Girls entering Grade 4 in Fall 2016 - Huddart Park
Campers entering grade 4 are grouped in units with girls of their own age/grade and are supervised by trained staff members and program aides. Campers participate in a wide variety of activities including earning badges, hiking, outdoor cooking, learning outdoor skills, crafts, games, singing and more. Girls entering grade 4 in Fall 2016 will spend the night on Wednesday, July 27. If you wish to opt out of this overnight, please check the box in the registration form. 650-308-8438
2016 Summer Camp (Session 1) - CrossRoads Christian School
This camp is designed to support specific improvements of both individual fundamentals and overall team play. We will focus on both offensive and defensive concepts and strategies. Points of Emphasis include: Ball Handling, Passing, Shooting, Rebounding, Footwork & Body Balance. We will also incorporate drills that develop rebounding skills and transition concepts. Technique Swim Academy is a summer swim camp at Harvard University for children who are interested in swimming at the club, high school or collegiate level, as well as those interested in the sport for recreation. Supervised by Harvard Head Coaches Stephanie Morawski and Kevin Tyrrell and Northeastern Head Coach Roy Coates, Technique Swim Academys roster of experienced instructors teach campers proper swim technique and help them achieve their personal best through concentrated swimming instruction. Each day, we focus on one competitive stroke and reinforce technique through demonstrations, practice drills and daily videotape sessions. Our goal is to provide an atmosphere where swimmers are excited by the sport and eager to learn about all facets of competitive swimming. 617-484-0550
Kodu & Logo Programming - The Evergreen School
Students will learn how to program their own computer games and simulations, using Microsofts Kodu interactive game development environment and NetLogo, developed at Northwestern University. They will design their own landscapes for their Kodu character to navigate, add apples to collect and score points, and much more in this visual, block-based programming language. Well learn NetLogo by exploring models of ant colonies, traffic simulations, and the theory of wolf-sheep predation. Then students will design their own scenarios and even create games by typing in simple text-based code. No previous experience necessary. 206-957-1533
