Interested in learning the ropes of being in a musical or maybe youre a theater veteran and just cant get enough of the stage? Whatever your experience come join us for our mini production camps this summer. Session I explores songs and dances from the Oz stories of musical theater: The Wizard of Oz, The Wiz, and Wicked. Session II explores songs & scenes from Shrek Jr. Camp focuses on putting the production together as well as healthy vocal/singing production with dance combinations and character development while learning to seamlessly combine these disciplines. This summer with be 6th year going to Camp Greystone! it is honestly the best experience i have ever had in my life! i have met friends from all over the country, including my best friend that i met at camp greystone she lives about 3 states over but we continue to come back to camp together and try to meet up all much as we can!I would definitely recommend this camp! it is definitely worth the money! i feel like a different person and... Sport Foundations Summer Basketball Camp - Fields/Diamonds/Gym/Courts
Sport Foundations Basketball Skills Academy one day camps are designed to teach and develop basketball skills, including fundamentals of shooting, ball handling, passing, rebounding and defense. Often times with AAU and travel basketball the focus of practice is more on "game play and plays". Developing great shooting technique is becoming a lost art. Footwork and ball handling is underdeveloped at the High School level. The fundamentals of basketball will be taught and then reinforced with a series of drills. The following offensive series will be taught and drilled: shooting, basket attack, low post moves, high post moves, ball handling, rebounding and defense. Sport Foundations will use recent research on focus of attention to create muscle memory responses that hold up to psychological and physical stress that occur in competition. The performance of basketball skills are based on motor learning and skill, not just repetition. This camp is for players who have had some basketball experience. Robotics-Maker Station - Amador Elementary School
ROBOTICS Explore and build with Lego WeDo 2.0 robots. Students will build robots using the new Lego WeDo 2.0 system. Students will learn to assemble and program the robots to learn the basic concepts of programming. Once students have shown mastery of the system basics they will be allowed follow their own path as they investigate increasingly complex modules. Modules may include: Sorting to Recycle: Design a device that uses the physical properties of objects, including their shape and size, to sort them. Robust Structures: Investigate the characteristics that make a building earthquake resistant, using an earthquake simulator constructed from LEGO® bricks. MAKER STATION Learn how to build a catapult from common household materials and use the Engineering Design Process to improve your design. Prototype a foam rocket toy and experiment with the design to fly longer and farther. Build balloon powered rocket cars to race against your classmates. Students will be building with common household materials and applying the Engineering Design Process to their work. Chamber Music Camp July 18-22, 9am-4pm Grades 9-12 Come make music amongst friends! Trios, quartets, quintets are forming with strings, piano, woodwinds and brass. Groups will have the opportunity to be coached by our outstanding faculty, participate in masterclasses, learn rehearsal techniques while building skills and friendships for a lifetime. Students will also participate in a variety of elective courses. The camp will culminate in a final performance on Friday afternoon. This camp requires the student to have basic note reading skills.
