Volleyball is the ultimate team sport. It is exciting, action packed and one of the fastest growing sports in the Tidewater area. The game requires outstanding hand-eye coordination, skill mastery, quickness, anticipation, teamwork and the motivation to "lay it all on the line." Now is a great time for your child to get started or further develop their game at the NCS volleyball camp. Campers will receive instruction in the six skills of volleyball: serving, passing, digging, setting, attacking and blocking. Campers will learn rotational and perimeter defenses and how and when to use them. Though instruction will be thorough, the atmosphere will be positive and enjoyable for all the campers. Learn the basics of what it takes to be a lifeguard. This program promotes teamwork, leadership, and aquatic safety while introducing students to professional opportunities. Get quality water safety education on ocean and beach hazards, including rip currents, waves and tides. Gain an understanding on beach ecology and marine life and learn respect for the environment and for themselves, their parents and their peers.
